Performance package/premier trim question

Hoping someone the has received their car can help clarify for me. I ordered a ecoboost premium with performance package and the premier trim. Someone had pointed out that when doing the build and price on Ford; adding the performance package will change the instrument panel to the gauges/vents. When you add the premier trim, the dash changes back. Probably the biggest reason that I got the performance package was for the dash.
I figured it must be a computer glitch, but I sent an email to Ford, and this was the response that I received:

The Performance Package for the 2016 EcoBoost Premium Mustang has a unique instrumental panel; however, the Premium Color Accent Group when selected changes the instrumental panel back to the standard instrumental panel. The decision to offer certain features on certain models is based on our extensive market research and feedback from dealers and customers. I will pass along your feedback on this matter.

I'm really freaked out now because I want the performance package dash, I'd be willing to delete the premier trim to get the dash, but the car is scheduled for build.

Do any of you have a performance package with premier trim and can report on what dash it came with?

it's not true. a ton of us have premier trim with pp. the dash has nothing to do with premier trim anyways as it only has to do with stitching, door plaques, and leather. there is no special dash to revert back to on premier trim anyways. unless they did something stupid for 16. I can make one right now on ford's site and it will be unaffected

Yeah, I think OP is worrying about the "something stupid for 16" part.

I'm hoping that you are right, I see on your signature that you have a PP, do you also have premier trim, so you can confirm that you have the PP dash? I'll feel much better when I see a minimum of five people saying that have PP and premier and their dash is the PP!

I just did a build/price for both ecoboost and GT, adding PP changes the dash, but add premier trim for either model and the dash reverts back

it is an error in the B&P, it was just posted in another thread a '16 with PP and Premier that has the center gauges

Asked the dealer the same question, was told it was a bug in the customizer.

Wow, I'm glad this was brought up. I had not noticed that the program deletes the gauge cluster in the dash when you select the premium trim. If that truly does not happen as others here claim, it still brings up another question.

Does the color of the dash trim change with the premier trim? It shows the dash as a lighter aluminum color when it is selected vs. the darker color when the option is not selected.

Also, is the premier trim available with Recaro seats? It dumps the Recaros every time I select the premier trim.

Thanks Khyber, I'm a bit concerned about a change for the 2016, but I searched google for performance package premier trim and found a 2016 on sale with both PP and Premier, the listing has photos of the interior, which shows the PP dash, so I think the B&P and email from Ford was incorrect. Good find there Brendan, rest easy! I didn't think they would do something that stupid. But, it's a shame the Ford rep doesn't know any better. That's kinda sad.

I am the one who originally brought this up a couple weeks ago and would feel much better seeing someone's 16 with pp and premier trim in their driveway. The dealer photos didn't show the seats and I wish they did. They have a little different stitching on the build and price site. I also wonder if that is truly a 16....maybe if there were pics of the turn signals in the hood vents it would be a little easier to believe. Not trying to add to your stress but I am in the same boat have the same questions. Misery loves company. Lol:headbonk:

Are you sure that "changes the dash" doesn't just change the texture of the aluminum panel? Mine is premier non PP, and I have brushed aluminum look....what is the texture of a normal PP without premier?
