PBD tune 93oct base tune A/transmission hard shift

So I have a mostly bone stock 22 base GT auto. Loaded up the first base tune sent over from PBD onto my SCTx4 installed it on the car.

I'm freaked out because the transmission shifts insanely hard in the first 3 gears. And randomly when shifting from 1-2 the transmission hangs for a few moments and no power goes to the wheel.

After 30 miles of this, I pulled over and returned to the stock tune and emailed PBD. Once back to the stock tune transmission shifts went back to normal.

Any feed back? I don't like this at all and hope this isn't how it should be. They will also be doing an E85 tunes. But if the car shifts like this I don't want any tune at all.

How many miles did you drive once you loaded the new tune? Drive it for a good 20-30miles and see if it gets any better.

I drove 30 miles give or take a few miles. About 40-50 minutes. No change.

have them send you a config file to data log your shifts then send them the log along with how it’s shifting. Easy fix.

Right on. I'll ask about that. Waiting on a new charger for my laptop (why I can't data log...loaded tunes via desktop)

I had a similar issue when I received my Livernois tune. Shifting was so harsh it was breaking the tires loose at normal throttle when shifting. I contacted them and asked for a softer shift tune and that fixed it. They said some people like this aggressiveness, I said it's dangerous around corners! LOL

I hear ya. I don't mind an aggressive shift like on my previous mustangs tune. This just feels very wrong and almost damaging feeling.

I could swear I was getting a weird smell from it as well. However, that could have been a y number of the vehicles on the road near me.
