I just finished data logging revision 4 of my Paxton tune and the log below had some positive knock. I am new to this but I would love to hear what you guys think. The car had 93 in it but I am questioning how good it was. It was also 90 degrees outside. It had up to 2. knock and it only had 15 degrees of timing with 3.6 pulley at 7200-7400.

Id say bad fuel. Check over everything that could be hitting though. IC piping/exhaust etc.

Before i went e85 Lund had me do my revisions on 93 first with the 3.6 pulley when i first got my kit. I had no knock at all.

The previous log and tune revision had no knock but I ran the car in much cooler air. I guess it could be the heat since I was getting knock and the timing was 3 degrees lower.

Try a diff gas station and relog. If it still shows knock, throw a can of torco in and relog. If it's still knocking, it's false knock.

Ideally you would want the tune to compensate and pull the timing for the Higher IAT or ECT and Not have to run "better" fuel on hotter days. You also dont want the knock sensor to take care of it. This log is a perfect example of how the ECU tries to keep it on the true borderline in the negatives and once it goes in to the positives it pulls timing like a stair case for safety.

This knock looks like is caused by high IATs to me. Anywhere above 41*c or 106*f the knock sensors are compensating more than they should need to be. I want to say your intercooler is not big enough or is not getting enough flow over it.

I think it may have been the heat since it was like 95 degrees out. My tuner said they added timing between revisions but now they pulled it back. I put actinium in it to be safe and now I have more timing and negative knock. I am ready for cooler weather.

Your log looked just like mine but I have a procharger. I was told it is fuel or because the IATS were 150 degrees on a dyno. On the street they are 5 degrees under ambient and no knock.
