I have nothing to show but a couple of boxes that are being sent back tomorrow. It looks like it may be a couple of weeks delay.
What happened?

It didn't die, there just hasn't been anything to post. The polished kit arrived on this past Monday the 10th so there was an 18 day delay from when I had to send the satin kit back. I picked up the polished kit at 11am and at 2pm, I got the best news a Dad could ever get, I got custody of my son after a 6 month battle so I have been busy getting him registered in school and settled in. I haven't seen him as happy as he is in a very long time. I have been making some progress on it here and there but only an hour or two at a time.

I will say the polished kit was worth the extra 250 bucks though.
Congrats on the great news man!!!! A lot better news than being told ur car set a record nothing more important than our children. I look forward to seeing pics when u get a chance.. The polished a high luster polish like a mirror or just a ruff light polish?

Here are a few pics as of last night. I have gotten all the "hard" parts installed. The only stuff left is the injectors, BAP, coolant tank, and the modifications to the vacuum system and coolant system.

Here are pics of the install so far.

there were tons of screws and push pins for the front bumper cover.

The mounting plate comes assymbled in the kit but I pulled the bolts for the pullies to put lock-tite on the threads. I installed a 3.60 pulley and the location of the adjustable idler still worked great in the location it came in.

In this pic you see the coolant tank. it has not been mounted but that is the location where it will be.

intercooler and piping

AND the shinny stuff

this is all so far. I will say the instructions are very detailed and has plenty of pictures to compare with.

I did get a little ride in on Saturday with a small group of friends before the taredown. It was about a 250 mile round trip to Murfreesboro to eat at Demo's (great resturant).

I figured I would post a little update on where I stand with the installation. I have been running into to some minor set backs. I have been able to work through all of them but the last one. I had everything buttoned up and ready to drive and went to close the hood... The head unit is contacting the hood and that is with the insulator removed. I have a call in to Beefcake to see what can be done. I have tried to rotate the head unit but that is not giving enough clearance. I can cut the support under the hood to clear it but I prefer not to cut it if possible.
Here is where they are hitting(marked by yellow "x")

Hooking up the BAP, I had to think outside of the box. The directions were not included but I was able to locate them on the net. The other issue was the wire colors were off as well. The power wire to be tapped was purple with a green stripe, the instructions stated a yellow wire with a blue or green tracer, I cant remember.

This is where I did my wiring, under the back seat on the left side. The unit was placed in the trunk on the left side behind the trim panel.

This kit so far has been labor intensive but not to difficult. I feel that the Vortech kit would fit better under the hood as it is a smaller head unit. I do like this kit as far as the quality of parts and the visual appearance. The instructions are detailed and had pictures to refer to also.

There is a lot of hose modification as well. Here is a pic showing some of what is done.

This kit does go together well and the instructions do a good job of walking you through the steps. My biggest hurdle at this point is the hood clearance issue. I will post more pics and video when I have sorted this out.

Are you sure the head unit is mounted correctly? Sort of like clocking the turbo into place.

Hey, I have the Paxton installed on my car, once I removed the hood insulator it shut close with no contact.

ATTFigther, can you post a pic of how you clocked your head unit when you mounted it? Mine looks like it should from the pics in the instructions. Also, my insulation pad is removed.

I am going to continue looking into this when I get off work today. As for anyone that is reading this to make a decision before which brand to purchase, I am not bashing this kit. It is a good kit, I am just having a glitch to work through.

just an fyi, I have the vortech JT trim blower and mine is hitting the hood just like yours. I put a couple of small washers on the hood latch(hood side) and it's working but I have a gap. I think I will use the UPR motor mounts to bring the motor down a bit and hopefully that helps. Mine is hitting in the same spot as yours btw.

I had thought about the lowering mounts but the intake tube won't clear the radiator and fan assembly. I have calls in to everyone I can think of for ideas on fixing this.

only way to clear is clocking the blower more, as you rotate it counter clockwise it gets smaller height wise and distance wise forward. first step would be to get the blower where it doesn't touch, and then adjust the piping from there to fir,

the pipe could be off a little bit, that comes out of the blower, possible twisted more to get to the lowest spot

there is always a chance the pipe was fabbed off a little bit, but the first step is clocking the blower where it doesn't hit, don't want to scratch the shiny stuff :)

the 15's def don't leave a lot of room at the front height wise compared to the 11-14s
