What happened?I have nothing to show but a couple of boxes that are being sent back tomorrow. It looks like it may be a couple of weeks delay.
Congrats on the great news man!!!! A lot better news than being told ur car set a record nothing more important than our children. I look forward to seeing pics when u get a chance.. The polished a high luster polish like a mirror or just a ruff light polish? It didn't die, there just hasn't been anything to post. The polished kit arrived on this past Monday the 10th so there was an 18 day delay from when I had to send the satin kit back. I picked up the polished kit at 11am and at 2pm, I got the best news a Dad could ever get, I got custody of my son after a 6 month battle so I have been busy getting him registered in school and settled in. I haven't seen him as happy as he is in a very long time. I have been making some progress on it here and there but only an hour or two at a time.
I will say the polished kit was worth the extra 250 bucks though.

Hey, I have the Paxton installed on my car, once I removed the hood insulator it shut close with no contact.I figured I would post a little update on where I stand with the installation. I have been running into to some minor set backs. I have been able to work through all of them but the last one. I had everything buttoned up and ready to drive and went to close the hood... The head unit is contacting the hood and that is with the insulator removed. I have a call in to Beefcake to see what can be done. I have tried to rotate the head unit but that is not giving enough clearance. I can cut the support under the hood to clear it but I prefer not to cut it if possible.
Here is where they are hitting(marked by yellow "x")
Hooking up the BAP, I had to think outside of the box. The directions were not included but I was able to locate them on the net. The other issue was the wire colors were off as well. The power wire to be tapped was purple with a green stripe, the instructions stated a yellow wire with a blue or green tracer, I cant remember.
This is where I did my wiring, under the back seat on the left side. The unit was placed in the trunk on the left side behind the trim panel.
This kit so far has been labor intensive but not to difficult. I feel that the Vortech kit would fit better under the hood as it is a smaller head unit. I do like this kit as far as the quality of parts and the visual appearance. The instructions are detailed and had pictures to refer to also.
There is a lot of hose modification as well. Here is a pic showing some of what is done.
This kit does go together well and the instructions do a good job of walking you through the steps. My biggest hurdle at this point is the hood clearance issue. I will post more pics and video when I have sorted this out.
