Paxton Beefcake Special is finally ordered!

Super excited about the Paxton Beefcake Special that I ordered and a big thanks to Terry at Team Beefcake for hooking it up! The satin kit is on back order so I probably won't be seeing it till 2 weeks later.

I went with the following options:

Head Unit: 2200SL Self Lubricataed Unit
Kit Finish: Satin
Add Handheld Programmer: No Thanks
Add JLT Cold Air Kit: No Thanks
2nd Pulley Choice: None
Remote Tuning: Not Needed
Spark Plugs: Brisk 1 Heat Range Colder
Injector Size: ID 1000's
BOV Upgrade: No Thanks
Fueling: Vortech Max Flow BAP
8 Rib Pulley Upgrade: None
Add Performance 160 Degree Thermostat: No thanks


I'm going to be working with Shaun from AED for tuning the car and running a flex fuel tune. Still have to discuss if I can safely run E85 with the stock fuel system with low boost.

For those that do have Paxton kits, I would appreciate any heads up or pointers about installation or key things to look out for. This is my first time boosting any car that I've owned so any advice would be appreciated. Can't wait to get this baby on there !

Instructions are a little tricky as some of the info is geared to the 11-14 GT's. Plan to make a trip to the hardware store to pick up some missing fittings that are not included with the kit. Take your time and think outside the box when reading the instructions and figuring it out. Like I said, it's geared towards the 11-14 GT's in certain parts.

I ordered mine last month on the 13th still haven't received the Paxton. I saw the Paxton booth at fabulous fords so I asked them how long it takes for a kit to ship they said 14 days. After I told them I ordered 5 weeks ago they said it should ship this Wednesday. Hopefully they ship it soon I can't wait to install the damn thing

Congrats! This kit is a lot of fun. I did have to make a couple hardware store trips for missing fittings. As for the stepless clamps in the kit, I found the tool I needed in the plumbing section of Menards. Some of the hose clamps are really tight, so I picked up some extra #56 to replace 52s and #64 to replace some 56s.

we had a pretty big run with tax time, lots of kits on the road. had another big batch ship yesterday, and more going today and tomorrow.

That wait was probably tough man but looks like they are shipping out as Terry mentioned in his post. Mine just shipped out today, sooner than expected!

I have a Steeda CAI, could I use the filter from that intake?

he usually will, we personally don't like it because the fuel pressure takes a nice drop..
