I have a 10,000 mile 2016 GT Base PP with a Novi 2200 non-Self Lubricating Unit beefcake special. Having trouble with a misfire P0300. Random misfire. I would like to know what the recommended gap should be for the NGK 6510's. I have a 3.6 pulley, 8 rib pulley setup, ID 1000's, Vortech BAP, Maxflow Race BOV, and 160 degree thermostat.

Thanks sigintel. Gonna pull all 8 in the morning to check the gap. Hopefully that cures the misfire issue.

Started pulling plugs this morning. Driver side, front to back were .044, .043, .043, .043 (easiest to get to). Would I need that big of a gap to run E-85 for a flex fuel tune? It has a flex tune on it right now. Taking it to get a 93 tune in the next couple of days.

I can only assume that the plugs were pre gapped from NGK and they weren't checked prior to install. Going to regap to .030 like Beef suggests.

Regapped at .030. Still surges and feels like it's misfiring. FML

What fueling are you using? Also, are you misfiring at a specific cylinder?

It's got a flex fuel tune right now. I'm running 93. I got a random and a #8. After I regapped. It's going to the tuner on Tuesday or Wednesday.

So you're running a Paxton supercharger with a flex fuel tune? I thought I read that was not recommended. Maybe things changed idk.

you were def getting blowout at that gap, we usually go 28, some will say 32, but i always go a little tighter

it's always possible something got hurt with a gap that big,

also flex imo isn't a good idea on a blower car, n/a its fine, but a very big swing on power from say 91/93 to e85 on a blower car

Very big timing difference on a boosted car compared to n/a, and a much bigger risk if you go WOT before it adjusts to the fuel.

I wouldn't really drive it on that tune at all tho. I gapped mine at .32 and it does what you say, I'm procharged. I need to regap them to .28 to see if that fixes the issue.

I'd say gapping them to 0.028 will fix the issue. Depending on your boost level, most of them seem to be the happiest at 0.026-0.028.

Had the same issue when mine was gapped at .032. My tuner said gap them at least .025. Put new plugs in and gapped at .024, problem went away. I'm running 11lbs. on E85. Rob Shoemaker FTW!!!
