Can anyone verify the gap on the NGK plugs for the phase2 Roush s/c ??? Just got them from Roush. Instructions say be sure to gap to .9mm or .035 in. They came "pre gapped" at .044 in. Roush said they will be pre gapped but now I'm not sure if I should just install them or set them to .035 like instructions say. Can anyone remove one and measure or verify? Thanks

Roush doesn't pre-gap them, NGK does. Gap them to 0.35 like it said.

I would agree if Roush didn't tell me that they pre gapped them for me, that's were my concern comes from. He said to just install. But I think .044in doesn't sound right to me and I'd hate to do it twice.

Like Beefcake said 0.028 - 0.035 is the range for all of the blown setups I've seen to date. Never seen anyone recommend more than 0.035.

Spoke to Roush again (different person) and he said best to be at @ .032-.033 up to .035 and to disregard the .044. Thanks v and beef you guys were right on.

I'm going with .032 also. Just for the record Roush delayed shipping them to me by 1 day so they can be gapped!:headbonk: Glad I second guessed them. Can't beat this forum for info.

We do .28 to .30
I just found out you should not open or close the gap on a plug more than .008 in. If I close it to anything less than .036 in, I will exceed that limit. Why would Roush send me plugs that need to be gapped at .032-.035 when they are pre gapped at .044. According to everything I can find on the subject, this should not be done. Anyone hear of this? Wrong plugs? :frusty: Thanks
