Anyone have flutter issues at low boost/rpms with the Tial 50mm?

It starts to flutter around 3k rpm.

Any ideas? I’m on the 3.48 pulley on e85

if it's "fluttering" thats because your at a point between no vacuum and vacuum,

a bov is to let air out at vacuum, so when your going back and forth between vacuum and no vacuum it will be openeing and closing

Added a video.

Do you know why the sudden onset though? What you said makes sense but the only changes I’ve made to the car are adding some trackspec hood vents and removing that liner under the hood. Could they have been masking the sound?

MINE DOES THAT TO ITS THE POINT BETWEEN BOOST AND NO BOOST ONLY REASON U HEAR IT MORE IS CAUSE OF THE VENTS AND LINER REMOVEL SO NO SOUND DEADING

Does it do it at high boost too? I did a pull yesterday to 7500 and heard it in between shifts as well.

u will hear it between shifts cause the moment u let off the gas the gate will let air out its like a bov think of a turbo car its expell all extra air when your not full throttle

Oh yeah I get how the bov works but I was wondering why it would flutter under high rpm conditions if what terry said is true.

At 7500 rpm, I imagine there shouldn’t be any flutter since I’m releasing a lot of accumulated air exclusively, or in other words I’m not on the threshold of vacuum and no vacuum.

I’m just worried it might be open compressor surge (can this even happen on centris? Or is this turbo applications only?) or maybe a vacuum line has come loose somewhere...

compressor surge would only happen letting off throttle, not under acceleration, compressor surge is air going backwards after letting off throtle through the blower
