So i was informed on the road last week that my Passenger taillight is out. However i thought he was screwing with me cause i looked at the truck behind and tapped the brakes and turned on my signal and it was working from what i could see. Got home and looked at it and sure enough its out. So took it in to get that fixed and also a few other issues done as well.

Well shit. Car has been in the shop for a week. They cannot not figure out whats wrong with the taillight. They have replaced the BCM twice now.. Called me today to say they are having a Ford Engineer come out to look at it and see if he cant figure it out. But anyways. I'm about fed up with this. I had the car for 2 weeks before i found problems with it. And now they cant even fix it... Not sure what to do.. I hate waiting on this.. The Fusion is such a boring car to drive... BTW I installed Diode Dynamics switchbacks and parking light leds in the front 2 days after i got the car(purchased it 11/28/14). Never had any problems till now. I don't assume its the switchback cause the taillight will work with the bliner.

Same happened to me after the installation of Diode Dynamics switchabcks.Left Taillight went out.
Went back to regular 7443 Bulbs and Taillight works.
Something to do with the LED Bulbs.

in the video, they said they do not use resistors...maybe you still do?

I do think it has to do with the computer sensing that there is "no bulb". In theory there shouldnt be a connection between the 2 but the programming for this stuff all gets bundled and i bet thats where the problem lies. Have you added a resistor to see if that will fix it? I would never run leds with out the proper resistor or reflash of the computer to fix the error messages.

I just had this problem last night. The passenger side tail lamp is out (running light). When you do turn signal or brake it works, but the running light is not working.

I've had switchbacks installed for months with no issue. Wonder why it's happening all of a sudden.

Bump. Now I notice that the passenger side front turn signal doesn't stay on in running light mode either. It works for turn signal, hazard, etc., but not for running light. Same as the rear passenger tail lamp. The whole right side is fubar.

I put my regular bulbs in and that didn't make a difference.

I removed the diode Dynamic switchbacks and reinstalled my original bulbs to fix my issue.

Uh... dogpig66 are you using the new switchbacks or the old ones? After I installed my switchbacks, I tossed my original ones straight in the garbage can.

Tell me you're using the old switchbacks.

They are the new ones... and heres what happened... I installed the driver's side no problems. Went to install the passenger side ones and I dont think the switchback was fully seated in the socket properly. I removed the socket, adjusted the bulb, and hit my unlock button and it worked fine. As I was placing the socket back into the housing, the side of the bulb hit something, and I saw a quick flash from the socket. I then noticed the running light function wasnt working. When I got into work, a coworker noticed my passenger taillamp was out also. I assumed I blew a fuse, but thought it was odd my driver side taillamp was not out. I drove home from work and parked in my garage at home (at this time the passenger taillamp and front running lamp were still out). I popped the hood and began checking fuses, when my wife yelled at me telling me we had to leave and go somewhere. When I locked my car, I noticed my running lamp and taillamp were working fine. I drove to work today and everything was working fine. I have no idea what the hell happened. I am hesitatnt about putting the switchbacks, because I dont know if I messed up the one bulb, and will have the same issue if I go to try and reinstall it.
