With passenger window up at about 30 mph I hear a wha wha wha noise - as if something is flapping in the wind but muffled. Will try to capture sound clip to post. Only occurs 28-32 mph. By the way passenger door is mis-aligned. About 1/8 th inch twisted outward on bottom edge. Plan to fix crappy Ford quality once we have some sunny days here in Seattle. Thanks for any input.

Are you meaning with the passenger side window closed, and the driver side open? If so, I get the same noise. It's just the way the wind blows across the open window. Similar to when you only open the back windows in a pickup truck, and get the "helicopter" noise as it's described. And that noise you actually can feel the vibration in your ears.

Yes this happens on plenty of cars. Just crack the driver side window a couple inches and you’ll be good. Just an air turbulence/pressure thing.....pretty annoying.
My wife has an SUV that is terrible if both front windows are down. You need to lower the rear windows a couple inches to smooth the air.

Both windows are rolled up. I will post pic of passenger side door. Maybe air flow around door - I can’t imagine wheel bearings or the like only 5k miles - new to Mustangs / Shelby and I tend to be over critical...

The images show typical Ford assembly body panel alignment issues. This below thread has all of the alignment specs attached within it if you want to try and adjust yourself (as others have), or a Dealer can do it.

The wind “wafting” or “throbbing” is common on many modern day vehicles due to aerodynamics. It sucks and there’s tons of complaints about it on many auto forums. It’s explained here:

For other diagnosis:
Check under the car and see if the driveshaft assembly decal is loose and flapping against the underside of the car. This has been a common occurrence reported by a few M6G members across the S550 platforms. If it is loose, remove the decal.

If the noise is not the “window throbbing” and is found to be dependent on speed with windows up, then it could be:
  • Wheel hub bearing issue
  • Rear differential issue
  • Wheel balance or tire issue
  • Driveshaft center carrier bearing

S550’s with low miles have experienced premature wheel hub failures - and some owners have had to get the same hub assembly replaced 2 or 3x under warranty.

Does your car vibrate or is it just noise?
I own a wheel repair company. Very common with bent wheels to have a harmonic vibration during certain RPM’s. You may feel it in the steering wheel but not necessarily.
While they are under the car, have them spin the wheels. That will show if bent.
