I kinda wonder if they just threw those onto the model just because they had them though and they're not quite the real deal. Everything we've seen technically is preproduction after all.

Still proves that 350 headers should bolt right up to the 500's 5.2. The question would come down to if the DCT is substantially larger than the manual. Normal GT headers designed to work around the A10 would likely fit just fine.

I'm guessing probably not. The bellhousing is the largest diameter piece on a transmission other than the cross member for mounting. I highly doubt the block mounting position really has changed. The 5.2, both Voodoo and Predator, are still technically part of the modular family and follow certain architecture principles.

Rubbing and clearance issues, chassis balance, alignment problems, looking stupid.
Oh, once you roll the fenders, I'm sure it will look just fine.

I would say it's not 100% proof, but it sure is very strong evidence.

I like to disassemble things.
At some point GT500 hardware will start shipping to Michigan and the GT500's will roll down the line. It is likely that the GT500 and GT350 will share the same bumper beams as it wouldn't make sense to add a 3rd front bumper beam (non-GT350/GT500 cars have been using a steel bumper). That would mean that the GT350 bumper extrusion and final assembly would mirror the GT500.

This is where it gets interesting.

I doubt Ford would change the front fascia at this point in the game. Put it all together...if it plays out this way at some point GT350 cars would be getting the GT500 bumper with an insert inside for the tow hook to thread into. Could it be as simple as cutting a hole in your GT350 front fascia to then be ready for a factory, left handed thread, tow hook? It might. I could then see somebody selling color matched plugs/templates.

We shall see.

Alternate scenario...if the above doesn't pan out this should be as simple as purchasing the GT500 bumper beam extrusion and making a direct swap in place of the GT350 beam. Cut a hole in the fascia and foam between the two and bam - done. No more futzing with certain poorly engineered aftermarket hooks.

I've been following the digital gauge cluster swap thread, and I would love to have the one in my car. I'm thinking that maybe the GT500 digital cluster would be a good choice at some point. At least the trim around the GT500 cluster should be a better match than the bright aluminum on the GT cluster.
