Peeling paint on s550 bumper

My wife noticed this week that the paint on our ty convertible was peeling off the bumper where it meets the metal fender on the rear wheel well
We took it in last night after work and soon after we got home we had a appointment to have it repaired.
Just putting this on here for other to watch your car. It's on both sides of our car.

I have on in the same spot and it looks just like this. I took it into the dealer who took pictures and sent it to Ford. They are going to repaint it for me.

ya the overall build quality of this car is disappointing. i guess that is all a part of the cost cutting to get the car at a lower price point for the masses. Even 10 year old toyotas dont have these kinda paint issues.

this means there will be many other premature defects in the near future.

go outside to a random parking lot, and go look at the paint on any 2005 or older cars. this should not be happening on new cars.

Have the exact thing to mine. Dealer took pictures, ford approved. I don't know if I want to fix it. I don't want them to mess it up even further.

I've got a red 2005 Tacoma and the paint looks perfect. It's kept in the garage, but still if the paint was crap it would show it.

Ford said they would TOUCH IT UP!

My local dealer said that all they could do is use touch up paint to fix it! Meanwhile this is happening at all for corners of the bumper, and the inclosed picture shows a paintmrun on! This is ridiculous. I feel bad for the 2016 owners if ford hasn't fixed they're quality department yet!:shrug:

wow touch up paint is unacceptable for a new car. this means the rest of the paint will start cracking fast. ford did a horrible job on the finishing process.

We took our car in to be worked in Monday and the wife picked it up today after work. No cost to us. We had a loaner but didn't really use it.
