Last week someone backed up into me and rubbed some paint off the bumper, unfortunately i did not see who did it so looks like i have to take care of it, good thing i was able to push the bumper back and all the clips snapped back into place, just wondering what you guys use for color matching, thanks in advance for your feedback.

It looks like the scrape went to the bare plastic surface. It will have to be primed, sanded and painted. A good body shop should be able to Blend in instead of painting the complete bumper. I have had the exact same thing happens to me several times. I think the cost was about $350-$400. Good luck

Thank you Goose I will order both tonight and see how it goes.
That spray clear is hard, like OEM finish. It requires a respirator. It’s not like the soft crappy clear spray you buy from auto parts stores. Wet sanding/polishing will help tremendously.

@Inthehighdesert is our local expert. I dont know about a rattle can repair. If you are down to abs plastic, you will probably need an adhesion promoter. I've painted ABS (non rattle can) and paint won't stick if you are down to plastic.

I would also pay the $400 and let someone who knows what they are doing do the job. We are talking about a very sought after and valuable car, not some beater.

I agree too.

Once the painted surface has been rubbed/stripped down to the actual ABS or urethane bumper material, you’re not just into a “touch up” category anymore.

I would get it fixed by a local body shop with good reputation. Otherwise you can just cause more issues by trying to prep/paint it yourself… Not saying some people don’t end up with good results, but when it’s scraped down to the bare plastic, there is a definitive leveling difference between original painted layer and the bare layer. A touch up is more than that at this stage.

Agreed with the "have a pro" do it camp. I mean if you can afford to A) purchase a GT500 and B) put gas in it on a regular basis) you can afford the $400.00 USD quote to have someone who does this for a living paint it.

I feel your pain, had same situation last month on my '16 EB. Parked away from other cars in near empty parking lot. About 30 minutes later returned from store to find damage to my front right bumper cover. Head light casing pushed in and cover clips popped off. My body shop (used many times with excellent results) estimate @ $350 to touch up and buff out slight scrapes, reposition head light and install bumper cover clips. I agree with others, don't DIY. Have a professional do the job right on your great car.
P.S. Occasionally, if I get a little paranoid, I start thinking

that this was an intentional act.

Another vote for having a professional do it. If you don't already have all the equipment you're gonna be paying the same amount to do it yourself. While that 2K that Goose linked is a great product, it WILL kill you if you aren't using a respirator.

I work as a collision tech and I am telling you a rattle can touch up job will look like garbage. This is to nice a car not to get it repaired right! Take it to a good shop and they will tear the bumper down and fix the spot. You are never painting the entire bumper with color on a small repair like this. The only thing that gets sprayed over the entire bumper is the clear coat.
