I've owned the car for almost 2 years, and it has had a problem when filling up at the gas pump. It always shuts off the pump because the gas builds up faster than it goes down into the tank. Last year, I had a problem after filling up the tank—it would die out if I tried to start it. I replaced the purge valve, and it fixed it. Now, for about two weeks, I've noticed that after filling up, it has started to almost die out, and when the car is under a load, it will start to almost freeze in power, then go back into power. I replaced the charcoal canister yesterday to see if that would solve it, it didnt. any suggestions? Someone had said maybe fuel pump for the power loss problem. I haven’t got it smoke tested yet.

Did you replace the canister vent valve at the same time as the canister?
Do you top off the tank or let the automatic pump shut off determine full?
The purge valve on many cars, Ford included, don't seem to last very long. I'd check the purge valve for operation as it's not very difficult.

1.I believe i did i replaced the whole canister assembly. 2. I do tend to let it fill to the max. 3. I haven’t replaced the purge valve again since i did last year but i mind aswell try.

Topping off the tank will lead to purge valve failure. It's not good for the canister either.
I'd certainly recommend more testing before throwing more parts at it.
