Popped up as I decided to have a little fun earlier and the stutter and loss vanished as I slowed down, and after I turned the car off and on, no code

Mods as listed, anyone with experience know what to expect?

I don't have an ecoboost, but most manufacturers the misfire code is a continuously monitored fault. So it is typical that the light will be out after shutting off the vehicle and restarting until it occurs again and or continuously occurs. Easiest thing you can do is pull the coil and plug. Check plug condition and gap on cylinder one, (if gap is off correct and check all of the them) If it looks good put the plug back in cylinder 1 but swap the ignition coil that was in cylinder one with a different cylinder. Then drive it and see if happens again the next time you get on it. If it does see if the fault returned on the same cylinder, followed the coil, or went on a completely different cylinder. If it follows the coil, simple replace the coil. If it returns to cylinder one again or another cylinder check for boost leaks, but I would think you would have a mixture fault as well at this point. After these easy steps I would move on to injector testing/high pressure pump. But since it's direct injected this is not something I would recommend messing with unless you're familiar with the setup. And usually when one of those goes bad it's way more frequent of a misfire. Unlike with a failing coil it typically happens under heavy load first till it completely fails.

It happened to me once, when the engine was cold on startup. Hasn't happened since.

curious what ended up happening with this, as I experienced this code tonight too ... all plugs are gapped to .028

Swap the coil from cyl 1 to a different cylinder and see if the misfire follows. You could have a bad coil.
