exactly ^ You should just drive the car to warm it up. Just stay below 2-3k rpm until its warm. The trans needs to warm up too anyway, and tires, and maybe even the suspension.
When I was driving to the office (which may begin again soon), I opened the garage and remote started the car, put on boots and coat and basically got in and drove, since that was around a minute of cold idle. Down the street to the light which was almost always red for another 90 second wait and then on my way down to the highway, which is about 2 km or so. Always light throttle though and minimal if any boost entering the highway and then another 20 km to the office. The traffic typically doesn’t allow for flogging it, and I don’t really drive that way anyhow.
I wait for it to throttle down to on or below 1000 rpm, then check the oil temp and pressure before driving off, but even then I have a cold clutch and tires. It takes a few minutes of relaxed driving until the clutch feels like it's supposed to.
