This one has been parked outside my office quite a bit. I was going to pull up behind it and do a race red duo selfie! If it's there again tomorrow I will take one

Thanks Melbnut. I wouldn't have thought it, but those stripes look fantastic on race red.

Wondering if that it is a Cervini bonnet and side scoop?

They look to be cervinis... I have to say I really want the bonnet now. I had the option and went with us hood and roush vents. Only thing I will say is that if you are adding the hood you need to go big or go home. I will try to park behind it tonight for a race red selfie. I believe he is on the forum and works in my building also

I think you got the early scoop on this! :clap2: MOTOR mag just published a spy shot article on the same car and called up the NSW highway patrol to ask what's up:

http://www.motormag.com.au/news/1608/spied-ford-mustang-highway-patrol-prototype

However, it’s still a development mule, as revealed by the car’s ‘HWP154’ identification (duty vehicles are designated the letters ‘TRF’). And whether it will join the Highway Patrol’s official fleet “remains to be seen,” Tarek Al-Issawi, NSW Highway Patrol’s spokesperson, tells MOTOR.

He adds, “There are a lot of variables at play; including price, availability, performance, suitability, all of that stuff, specs, it is one of a number of vehicles we are testing.”
So no news yet really.

I've been talking with someone very close to this on what they are doing to sort out the transmission over heating. I can't say too much but there is no extra hardware needed.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I already drive a police car (XR6T). Don't want to be driving another one :).

In all seriousness, I wonder if they will need bonnet vents for pursuits on a hot summer's day. I wish we had those as standard.

Wow, so you drive a taxi, a police car, and now you're getting into Hawaii's most popular rental car... I can see why you wouldn't want it to be a police car too ;)

In all seriousness, I hope they don't become police cars - keep the police desiring them so they're more likely to be nice to us :)

I am really surprised I havnt been pulled over yet!
Even had one parked across the road after buying some doughnuts, he got into the car, did a U turn across double lines which put him queued right behind me at the red light I was stopped at...... I thought 'this is it' ...... light went green, and he just went on eating the doughnuts. What a letdown haha.

4 times I have been pulled up since taking delivery in January.
Twice was luck of the draw in a row a cars being pulled in.
Once I was followed for a while and then they lit me up and pulled me over.
Once I could see one guy yell to his mate to pull me in and he jumped out and the last minute and waved me in and they checked out the car.

I average twice a year so way above average at the moment...

I don't have a problem with it, I know people who "have a few" and then drive and it is a pet hate of mine. If you get behind the wheel over the limit then you should get what is coming to you.
