No idea.

If you get time try it out. It is the first line in engine info, air fuel ratio readout, just floor it in 5th 50-70mph and see what it settles at, should be 11.9-12.00 :)

Just curious if PMAS using their maf leans it out a bit more to gain power or not. :)

Vid from the weekend.

30 cars made the journey to Spa Francorchamps on sunday with 40+ doing the tour of Luxembourg on the saturday.

Definitely going again next year and hopefully I won't be the only UK representative there! :D

Longest run since getting the car, done this weekend over to Luxembourg for a Euro meet.

MORE than impressed at the MPG figures! :hail:

Spa Francorchamps to the Chunnel on CC@70mph:

That's a genuine 31MPG too since I reset the OBC's calibration.

Was the new PMAS intake at all responsible for this? No idea, but it certainly doesn't appear to have done the economy any harm. :)
I can get really good numbers like that with either a strong tailwind, or a truck in front of me, or both. Or a long down hill stretch...

Not to hijack Centurion 07 thread, my first long run at the weekend, brimming the tank, doing the runs (650 miles in total), then brimming again, I've averaged 27.3, that's on a par if not slightly better than my previous 370 Nismo.

Not too shabby for a 5.0L with mixed motorway driving, you all know what I mean ;), this included an hour sat in a car park called the M42 on Friday night :(

Now back on topic, glad you enjoyed your trip, might join you all next year

Yeah, saw that in Stiggy's thread. :)

Felt like being in a goldfish bowl stuck at the Chunnel for 4 hours in what was basically a giant car park. :ford:

Nice to see how good the wheels look rolling slowly. :D

Having spoken to several custom gearknob manufacturers/stockists and despite them being able to make this kind of thing:

http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24067

none of them were able (or more likely, willing) to do something as simple as a standard gearknob with a Martini stripe. So I made it myself.

No, it's not a Martini stripe, it's just a prototype (which is why the stripe is a bit wonky) to see how it holds up and if it will require anything to make it more durable. Seems to be holding up so far though, and the best bit it is it should be reversible! Applied to the standard white gearknob I got from Gibbo.

Theoretically I should be able to apply any design onto it, although being a sphere some designs would require a bit of tweaking to cope with the radius, but a simple stripe like this just goes straight on.

Look for somebody adept with a lathe, get them to put shallow grooves around the ball to match the martini lines and paint them :)

Yes, because that's far less hassle than a simple decal. ;)

I did actually consider that but 1. painting would be WAAAAAAY too fiddly and 2. even the shallowest groove cut with a lathe is going to be noticeable, at least as much as this decal, if not more.

This particular type is incredibly thin and as I said, it's a prototype to see how it holds up and if it doesn't, the next step would be to give the whole thing a coat of a clear lacquer, thereby rendering it completely smooth again, not that it needs smoothing out.

Fitting the LEDs from Australia:

Just another reminder of how Ford skimped on what is, effectively, their "halo" model. I understand the economies of scale but really, how much would 3 or 4 sets of LEDs cost either them, or the customer, if they chose to pass it on to us directly? When did you last hear someone say "oh, I didn't buy that circa £35K car because it was £20 over-budget!".

And now of course it's started to rain so the fogs, DRLs and sidelights are going to have to wait.

Passing cost onto us - Fine. However IIRC from a 'Faster horse' they swapped out multiple things for cheaper options or different suppliers just to cut a few cents per item - Economies of scale multiply that up, it costs ford a fortune, Producing it in cars is one thing, passing onto us is harder if it's from stock (To be fair with how many LEDs theyd buy, they'd be only a few cent more anyway!).

Slight diversion, if ford offered it as part of PDI - We'll add all LEDs to your car for £50-80 I'm sure most of us would have said yes.
