Thanks. I particularly love the truck, it's actually useful for hauling stuff and a lot smaller than most pickups.34 bought running but needed work, electrical, mechanical & cosmetic. Got an itch to
build one and bought parts, a few pictures show the build. Made parts, repaired body, made a paint boot, 4 years later rolled it out and fired it 2004.
Bed & doors 4 to make 2, firewall & cab above
lots of sandpaper & labor
55 Chevy gasser fender-well headers modified, 327 blueprinted, modern, fast burn
center bolt heads.
Finished frame, painted body, Peterbilt production color.
First firing, the owner my wife drove the 32 truck up & down the street. Took her a month to wipe the grin off he face. Was fun, plenty of work, and always thinking 3 - 4 steps ahead. I like the raw headers with the heat signature.
I used to build street rods years ago. Last ones were a chopped 35 Oldsmobile 2 door, with Camaro sub frame and running gear and a 37 Chevy 2 door. I had to give it up when the area went from pretty rural to upscale suburb. They didn't appreciate the noise and cars sitting around my yard.
