Oil, filters, suspension stuff, exhaust stuff, the list just goes on and on.

I'm starting to think 1/2 the fun is just receiving and opening the packages. Hell, I'm excited just to receive my engine oil, filter and CAI filter cleaning kit. It's just maintenance stuff, and I'm excited to receive it!!!:cwl::cwl:

I love when new packages show up for my car as well. I got excited for some microfiber towels I ordered the other day.

Ye ah...exactly.....that's what I'm saying.

1/2 the damn fun of ownership is ordering, receiving, and un-boxing stuff for the car. Doesn't matter what it is. Could be wiper blades, could be towels, could be any mundane thing. Ordering, receiving and un-boxing the stuff is like being a kid at Christmas.

Just like when a kid before Christmas, you figure out what you want, order it, then you wait....anticipation builds, you keep checking your order/delivery status....you wait more....more anticipation......then the package finally arrives!!

Not just car stuff, when a tool comes in an Amazon Prime box, it's just as exciting. Center punches, torque wrenches, whatever it may be. Heck, even a drill bit.

Sadly Amazon is going to screw us starting next week... In order to save paper and reduce waste, Amazon Prime boxes will only be delivered once a week. You get to pick the day of the week. Secretly, I think this is Amazon's way of saving money and having a more eco-friendly image.

I'm confused.

How does this work now? You order something, and Amazon tells you it will only arrive on a certain day of the week?

Amazon is only shipping things to certain areas on certain days of the week? Because they can't control when they're actually delivered, that's the delivery services.

I didn't see the 'only' part.. looks like it's just an option for the customer?

Yes, it's just an option now, but I'm afraid they will eventually require it.

Thats a false statement.

Its an option for people who order a ton of shit to have it shipped all together.

From the article...
Amazon Prime members can also use Prime one-day, two-day, and no-rush shipping options. Customers can also choose not to bundle items into an Amazon Day package, and just receive a shipment separately as normal

Filter is here, came the next day. Filter charging kit is due today, excited.

Still haven't gotten a notice the oil has shipped. Darn.

Nothing wrong with saving money and showing some conservation concern. Hopefully they pass on some of that savings to their customers. But then again the owner may need the savings to pay his alimony and buy a rock for his new twinkie LOL!

I'm waiting on a Whipple heat exchanger at the moment and deliberating how to explain it away to my wife...LOL!

There was a great article in Field and Stream many years ago about how to smuggle hunting gear into your house and not get busted, it applies to anything you order for your car as well, seems all of our boxes are typically big and some heavy and delivered at the wrong time, but some how we all manage with some ingenuity.
