Got it for $400 below invoice with no dealer fees. Then they took off another $500 for Ford rebate and $750 for private cash back coupon. Did the whole deal over email so it was pretty painless.

I was concerned that I might have missed the production cutoff for MY 2016 but the owner called the Ford rep today and said I was still good. They said it will take about 7-10 weeks. Let the wait begin!

I initially started to look at 15 model last April and I was close to ordering one but then I was diagnosed with leukemia in May so I had to put it on hold. After seeing a 16 GT CS in person, I knew this was the car for me so If there is a silver lining to this, I'm glad I waited.

My salesman emailed me yesterday with my VIN and build date. Its scheduled to built on 3/17. Hopefully they dont make a mistake and paint it St Patrick`s day green vs race red! . With any luck they said i should have it by mid April. Cant wait!

Congrats jefffrot...can't wait to see it! I have a Guard Metallic GT CS on order, was supposed to be built last week, starting to get anxious now!

Just a heads up. My CS was built a month ago and was just shipped. They have a third party install something on the car that delays delivery. I have a friend that has friend in export at the plant and it is getting shipped today.

My salesman emailed me today and said the status on my car was updated to Released/Awaiting shipment. Hopefully I should have it in a few weeks!

Did everything via email

I did all the negotiations via email. I contacted the Internet dept of several dealers in my area and asked them to quote me there best price. Even after they gave me their best price, I asked if they could do better and they came down more. Pit one dealer against the other. I'm going to sell my old car on my own so I didn't have a trade. Even if I was trading, I wouldn't tell them until I was satisfied on the price of the new car. This is the 2nd vehicle I bought via email and it is by far the best way to buy a car unless you like spending all day at the dealer.
