About less than 24 hours of placing my order and I have a few issues.

My first issue is this - does the dealer I am working with have to be on the ford performance listed dealers (via their own website Ford Performance) to order ford performance parts?

I want to order my '16 manual 5.0 w/ two ford performance parts - GT350 steering wheel and GT350 exhaust/valance similar to some members. However, both my dealers are not sure if they order the car w/ those parts. They aren't even sure they can install them free of charge if ordered w/ the car.

What is the solution here?

Current deals:
Dealer #1 - $500 over invoice - refundable deposit
Dealer $2 - at invoice pricing - non-refundable deposit

Deposit is $1000.

Update -

Ordered!

'16 Mustang Premium
Black
Recaro
401A
Senors

$500 over invoice.

Nick, you can't order Ford Performance parts with your order to be installed at the factory. And, dealers won't install these parts for free; expect to pay for the parts & labor for any you order from your dealer's parts department. Any Ford dealer can install Ford Performance parts - assuming that they are willing. Some don't want the hassle of installing aftermarket parts. And yes, despite Ford Performance making these parts, many dealers view them as "aftermarket."

Be aware that there is also going to be an ($597 or so) advertising fee added to the invoice price of the car. Fyi........some dealers don't tell you this.

Another thing is there is no such thing as a "non-refundable" deposit. Maybe this is a state by state thing but in California it against the law for dealers to not refund your deposit. For ANY reason. I'd look into that.

Any link to legislation on why it is illegal?

I don't have any link but my salesman at the dealership told me this. I just have experienced from bailing from dealerships who tried to pull crap after I left a deposit that they always give it back with zero fight.
