I'm in the market for some headers. I see many options available. I've seen ARH, Kooks, Stainless Works, etc. The ARH ones seem pretty pricey. The ones from SW seem cheaper. Are they any good? How is the quality? I would love to hear the opinion of someone using them. Thanks.

All are good options. Lots of reviews on all of them as well as comparisons.

I have Stainless Power (SW's lower cost line) and they are great! Quality is top notch and can't be beat for the price. Had AR on my Camaro and they were fantastic quality as well, I just didn't see any reason to spend more when SP had such great reviews.

Basically I'm looking to get the best bang for my buck. Not trying to blow my wallet. I'll take a look at Stainless Power.

Went with Kooks as they had a better fit and finish. IMHO
You will pay far less than advertised if you pm the vendors here.
I liked the header locking bolt tabs that came with Kooks kit.
Also you will not have to remove the AC line clamp bolt that the cheaper headers hit.

Kooks here as well...quality superb, second to none IMO. Don't have to worry about O2 bungs if running E85, nor any vibration giving false knock...usually on A/C bracket with some other brand names you listed.

That AC bracket literally takes less than a minute to remove so don't worry about that. The only brand of header that I know with angled O2 bungs is Kooks. I bought new bungs for my SP longtubes and welded them myself. If you don't have the tools for that, any exhaust shop should be able to easily take care of it.

Bottom line is all the headers you listed are good. Can't go wrong with any of them.

I also plan on going forced induction in the future. What is a good size that will give me that capacity down the road?

ARH 1-7/8" with 3" Midpipe FTW!!!!

We actually run their full system and it sounds ridic.

We also carry Kooks and SW/SP so we can set you up with whatever you need. Give us a call if you have any questions and we'll be glad to assist you.

Thanks, Jared

I had not heard anything about the JBA headers. I have used JBA in the past on other projects. So I gave them a try. I got their 1 7/8" primaries and Titanium coating. They fit great and use a Vband connection to the exhaust. I used their 3" full system to mate up to the headers so it was an easy bolt together set up. They also sell conversion pipes to go from the headers to the stock mid pipe if that is what you want to do. The headers also came with the vband half if you wish to weld them to another exhaust. I am real happy with the set up as it is not obnoxiously loud, has a nice deep tone and no drone at all. It also clears the a/c line. So no modification is needed there.

Just to give another option to the original post.

Kooks, ARH, Stainless Works are all top choices. I went Stainless Works since my original choice of Kooks won't clear my BMR front brace. As others have stated Kooks already has 02's located in a better spot for e85. I'll be relocating mine and removing ac bracket so I don't consider that a deal breaker. I recently was able to see some Stainless Power in person and it they are a awesome lower cost alternative. All personal preference really.
