I haven't seen your full mod list, but if it's not too much trouble, how about switching back to gasoline and datalog on your stock tune? Wouldn't that possibly steer you in the right direction regarding false knock, clutch problem, etc?

Not a bad idea. All I have is an intake and a cat back. I still have cats and stock manifolds. In all honesty I bought the car with both and figured a tune was a cheap 40-50 horse is all. I may go back to stock and log to see if I get knock on the stock tune. Didn't think of that. Thanks

No. No headers at all. Magnaflow cat back. I've shook it all around and it doesn't seem to hit. The closest thing was the bolt on the shifter strut. Which is still close but there's nothing I can do now. When I bent the trans tunnel out for it my knock went down from 6 to about 4. Then I got a revision with less timing which dropped from the 4 to about 1-2. Tried another degree of retardation for the timing, knock went back up. To about 5 I believe. I'm back to the previous revision now. Logged yesterday with a max of 0 on a 3rd gear redline pull and a max of 2.0 when getting on and off the throttle just spiritedly running through some gears
So you had no knock on the wot but got it on the shifts on your last log?

Yes that's correct. While I was driving I kinda kept an eye on the knock on my laptop. I ran 2k to 7500 in 3rd then shifted to 4th and ran to about 6k and didn't get any knock. Then I ran about 3k to 5k or so through 2nd, 3rd, and 4th and got positive 2.0 knock

I know a guy who on a dyno tried to get his shop mule (mustang) to knock on E85. I think he went to 45 degrees of timing and it still wouldn't knock. Down a ton of HP however.

That's what I have heard. And with new plugs and fuel I have verified multiple times I have a hard time believing the knock is real. But I'm not any sort of expert for sure

Like has been suggested I would try a safe Gas tune and see if it knocks on it.

If it's knocking on the shifts it very well could be drive train related. I was having similar issues on my tt set up and Lund was sure it was false and drive train related. 2 weeks ago I noticed the shift mast weight had fallen off my tranny. I removed the rest of the assembly and put a block off plate in and so far this week no knock. Unfortunately this couldn't be your issue since the weight wasn't added until the 18+
