Just picked up the S550 the other night, went to stick my wheels off of my 12 GT and wondered if they didn't look right? So looking for opinions, these are 19x9.5 275/35/ZR19 SVE Drifts from Late model restoration.
The pic should be at ride height, the lug nuts are different from the 12 to the 15 or I would have mounted it and dropped the car.

Nice looking wheel but way to much fender gap.

IMHO, 19s look ugly on the s550. Anything smaller than 20s, and the car looks like Diandre Jordan wearing sz 8 shoes. Just my opinion though.

As long as the 19s are complimented by an aggressive tire with thick shoulder blocks, I think they look great. But I've noticed that 20s with a slight drop are kind of hard to beat. It's a perfect flush look with the fenders with the best concentricity.

Thanks guys, just what I was thinking. Either a taller tire or a set of 20's. I love the look of the 20's but I was just trying to save some money for other mods.

That's a lot of gap considering that is a 19 inch rim. Is the jack completely down in this pic???

I agree. I think if 19's are accommodated with a meaty tire to give it that aggressive stance then it would look good but deep down 20" is still the way to go.

20s for those that want it filled and wide tires at good pricing

19" for those performance based guys but your stuck on tires specially when you want a wide beefy option.

The reason it doesnt look right is because thats a 275/35/19 on the rear, and S550 OEM rear tire size is 275/40/19, so the 275/35 is about ~1" or 4% too short, which explains the large wheel gap.

Upgrade to a 275/40/19 or wider and the 19"s will look as good as the red S550 Tritran posted above :D
