Hello everyone , looking for some advice.

I'm planning out my mustang purchase for later this year and am looking at rims.

Originally I was looking at the Performance Pack 19" wheels which are 9.5 width in the back (coming from the stock cali special 19" wheels which I believe are 9" wide). However for the price im spending on a new set of wheels I'd prefer to get a 10" width rim so I can run a 275 width tire on the back.

I was looking at the Advanti Fastoso: http://www.advantiwheel.com/wheel/fs-fastoso-silver/
They are 20x9 in the front and 20x10 in the rear.

My questions are...

1. Will a 9" wheel fit in the front? Or only 8.5"?

2. I've been reading about how a 20" wheel affects drivability and NVH. Will the 20" rims make a noticeable decrease in ride quality over the 19"s?

Other info: Car will be ProCharged and street driven only (daily). Most of the time spent on the highway but also on some less-than-perfectly paved roads as well. Pretty good amount of Potholes on the road to my job. Have my eyes set on the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 for tires, 275/35ZR20 in the back and 265/35ZR20 up front. Rims are 30-32lbs which IIRC are about the same weight as the 19" PP wheels.

Thanks in advance for any pointers. :)

I just put 20x9/11 Forgestars on this weekend with 275/35 and 295/30. I am in Stuttgart Germany and honestly I think the Michelin pilot sports are quieter and ride better than the Yokohama winter tires that were on PP wheels. They are lighter than the PP wheels too that seems to be the biggest noticeable difference.

How is your cars acceleration on the bigger wheels, faster, slower or feels the same?

I've got 20x10 all the way around. No issues at all.

The wheels you want, look like the PP wheels. And the PP comes with 275's in the rear.

People are also fitting 10" wide in the front, but that's more of a question of offset and tire size also.

The NVH issue is more a reflection of the amount of sidewall, as more will absorb some of those bumps and dips in the road better.

20" inch wheels on a standard GT premium, have the same stiffness of a PP GT on 19"s

My car came with factory 20's and I switched to the DWS 06's in 275/35/20 square set-up. I then went with some SVE Series 3 wheels 20x8.5 front and 20x10 rear, and still using the same 275/35/20 tires. Car rides and handles just like when it was stock, just way better wet/snow traction than the P-Zero's.

I am getting the DSW's put on today. 275/35-20 as a matter of fact.

Thank you all for the replies.

I see that the "recommended" tire size for the 9" is 265 and the rear 10" is 275.

Would I be able to fit wider tire without any wear/alignment/other problems?

I'm running 20x10's front and back with 285x35 tires. No fitment issues (based upon my offset). Pick the proper offset and you'll be fine.

Advantis are good especially in weight reduction. They should work perfect. Check out these too bc those look like a biotch to clean lol

I'm running a 275/35/20 on an 8.5" wheel in the front and the fit is just fine. The sidewall on both front and rear look about the same, the rear wheel just has a much wider looking lip. Tires have performed well and I have no adverse effects of the wider tire on the narrower rim.
