Already made a thread for my handbrake issues but thought I would make a generic one with all my thoughts and issues and obviously the fun for my first month of ownership. I’ve been on this forum since I was 18 wishing to own one and last month I finally managed to get my hand on a used ‘19 model with 4k milage.

On the day of collection from Trustford Edgware I realised something was off from the from fog lights but the staff that was handing the car to me assured me everything was fine and checked over. You will see the issue below in the pile of my images. At the moment I’m in the process of contacting them and waiting for response.

My other issues are the handbrake not holding the car properly on inclines and the sync3 update not working using wifi or USB stick.
One last small concern is the steering wheel pointing to either direction randomly which needs to be checked for wheel balancing I assume.
Now that the negatives are out the way I can talk about the joys :)
Coming from a DS7, the pure excitement when I downshift and hear the exhaust is worth all the hassle.
Last week pulled next to another magnetic grey and the driver was just as excited to see another Mustang next to him.
Just came back from a road trip around snowdonia and wanted to share the amateur pictures I took without filters :like:

Congrats on ownership and great photos! I was in Snowdonia a couple of years ago, great choice for a road trip. Sounds like relatively minor issues, but with it being winter and not mustang season, a good period to get them all sorted out.

Not sure what part of the UK you are in but plenty of us here can probably tell you where the good and the not so good Ford dealers are.

Parking brake is a must fix just enable it and accelerate a touch at the dealer to show them not working.

The sterrig wheel dartiness is tramlineing caused by too wide front tire, wrong pressure, worn tread or summer tread compound hardening in cool temps, or compilation thereof.
Been forwarded to aftersales team so will show them thanks for the tip.
Tyres SHOULD be in a good state as I put them all to 32psi before heading off and threads look fine too. I’ve also tried different steering wheel settings and no change.

Thanks! The drive and experience of the ownership itself definitely hides the minor issues and will sort them out before summer time.

I’m located in NW London so the dealer was just up my road.

Snowdonia has some great roads, but they are defo easier in a car than racing grinding up them ... lol

I've not had the Mustang up them yet, but I am looking forward to when I do (and I will get pictures) :sunglasses:

I was lucky to not hit snow or rain and for some parts caught some sunshine as well
But I did get blasted by a salt spreader…

I had problems with tramlineing so I fitted a STEEDA REAR IRS SUBFRAME SUPPORT BRACES and STEEDA S550 G-TRAC BRACE along with a strut tower brace and the problem has 95% disappeared

Crap handbrake could be your rear callipers beginning to seize. I’ve had to have both done and the tell tale sign was carp handbrake and either a seriously tight or lose lever.

Booked for 14th February for a check on both the foglight and the handbrake.. No apologies from the handover guy or the guy that booked me in telling me they have no Saturdays and no other ways for me to not miss work for a problem that wasn’t supposed to be there.
The handbrake issue is not so prominent now that i push on the brake pedal firmly whilst pulling the handbrake.

No apologies because he knows what I know…you’ll be going back a fair few times I guarantee! Problems, though not meant to be there, are aplenty believe me. Both callipers went on me, taking discs and pads both times. £800 job X2 and that’s one of the cheaper repairs to my 2016.

Update:
After two full days at the workshop with last minute updates at 4pm: “your car is staying here today.”, they now blame me for the damage to foglight because there was a pre delivery inspection but the handbrake is fixed as there was an issue with the handbrake cable (I’m surprised they covered that one). So they told me to send the aftersales team the email correspondence with the salesperson about the damage.
what they don’t know is I have full evidence from the guy’s handover video that the damage was there from before but I wanna find out if he’ll man up and confess with just the email evidence before sending the video in.

oh i wouldn't wait for them to admit it, just hit them with the evidence and ask them what they intend doing about fixing it and why they wasted your time. Glad you are getting there with the issues, makes the hassle less painful
