Looking at where my car is currently i'm seriously doubting its going to hit the current ETA of 24th Oct, especially when Deysha reckons it isn't due to Baltimore until 18th Sept.
I've been quite patient so far but the whole process has descended into a laughable debacle, the UCL thing is a complete waste of time

I am not sure the UCL thing is a waste of time. Fact is, I placed a deposit on a car in April last year, one of the first people in the UK to do so and yet, I have to join the queue behind the UCL winners because they managed to press a button or had a faster internet connection than me. I sure wish I was one of them.

Yes, I have been promised that I am one of the Elite early deposit payers and will be treated the same as the UCL cars but I don't have that cast iron guarantee that they do (although the promise does coma from a high level).

Trust me, I am pissed off about the UCL thing but for a different reason than you

I honestly don't believe that Flat Rock know anything about the "UCL thing" and aren't scheduling cars any differently. Sure my car was built 4th August , one of the first RHD drives off the line - however its still at the upfitters. The original schedule of movements i saw it was due at Baltimore today, there is absolutely no way thats happening.

My current car is leased, it goes back 12th Oct. My original ETA to dealer was 14th Oct, so not too bad i can make do for a couple of days, now thats slipped to 24th Oct. Now suddenly i have to try and find transport for 10 days, its going to slip again then i'm into all sorts of problems. Asked the dealer if he could supply me with a loan? nope they dont have any.

I did tell you nothing had gate released and you didn't believe hence I said get a vista print.. They do know about the champs league cars due to the dealer priority they would have been put on. It's just crazy that a car a year into production can't be built instantly just because they moved the steering wheel to the otherwise and made amendments. They are due to gate release anyway now. Fingers crossed yours starts moving soon.

Apparently UK cars wont gate release, there's a good one for you. They're not following the same production line as the US cars, they go from upfitters with next status of US DOCKS.

You couldn't make this s**t up, its almost like the plant was suddenly thrown RHD kit and said there you go build that which has caused the lines to implode.
My dealer priority is 10.

There was a problem with the V8 exhaust and homologation for European that has caused delays apparently..
I got a letter today from Ford to say that "due to the location of the steering assembly on the right-hand side of the engine, a new exhaust manifold is required for our V8 GT models."

Yeah me too! Reduced the top end power from 421 to 416bhp.

Torque, acceleration and top speed are unaffected according to the letter.

It also states that the first cars are not due till November.

"Deliveries, typically take around 12 weeks once they have left Flat Rock"

The power figures are in PS, so it's about 410hp now.

More like 412hp, really, which is what they originally stated waaaay back when. Its sort of come full circle now.

I'm interested to see what a dyno chart looks like with these manifolds. Its the same engine, but according to the letter its only lost power at the very upper end. So it should look close to a US dyno chart with a massive kink at the top.

Doesn't matter, if someone asks me what power it has I'm going to be rounding it up to at least 420hp lol

Considering a fast car in the UK is usually well under 300hp, even saying 412hp will make people's eyes bulge! :D

Although I'm quite odd so I prefer it to be a nice rounded number. I sent my dealer a message on facebook today asking about information about my order, hope to hear back on Monday morning.

I'm like that as well. Aint OCD a hoot?

And I doubt it unless you speak directly to the general manager. He/She is the only one able to pull Ford's internal order numbers.
