OK are you ready:-

The Mustang at Dunton was a "PP1" car which means Pre-Production 1 which I believe is the last stage before assembly line production starts.

For you window sticker and ETIS fans the VIN was 1fatp8ff0g5200091

I took photos but this video was posted in the MOCGB forum this morning by andycr15 which includes Andy Barrett talking before the unveiling

Paul Harding who looks after the Ford Heritage fleet said his contact at Flat Rock had told him all the first batch had been gate released.

I was also told that Ford had been a little overwhelmed by the number of Mustang petrol-heads and their skills at sharing information around the world.

Of course, the Mustang did come with the usual catch all paper work in the glovebox that stated "This is a pre-production model and may not be the final production specification".

Well clearly the HMI4 means a 3-spoke steering wheel plus 1 box of after eights.

And, something I forgot to mention earlier. I was also told yesterday that the bonnet is insulated so a pony outline appears on a frosty morning! True or false?
