Hey guys,

Do the 2015 GT 5.0 have their own oil and tranny cooler. NON PP car 6r80.

It’s winter here and just getting my spring build list ready.

Also, if I should add one or both.. I have a TT hellion set up with a massive front mount. Any recommendations would be awesome!!!

Auto cars have a dedicated (but tiny) cooler in the upper grille area. All GT cars have a water to water oil cooler right where the oil filter is.

Both of them are rather inadequate for extreme performance driving, especially if you have a big front mounted heat exchanger blocking the airflow to the trans cooler.

If you plan on driving the car on the track for extended periods of time, you definitely need to upgrade both especially being boosted. If it's mainly a street or 1/4 mile car however, you should be fine. It's only during extended periods of time at WOT (aka road course) that the cooling really needs improvement. If you're just doing quick pulls on the street then letting off it will have a chance to cool itself.

What do you have inmind for a aftermarket tranny and oil cooler that would fit around my intercooler for the hellion
