Thanks for the post Budwise. I'm looking into bob's or moroso's catch can now. The moroso looks really well made but i think it's going to be tough to find any sort of comparison.

Another point that no one has taken into consideration is these comparisons were not done on the 2015 and they were done with different catch cans (unless these new catch cans are exactly the same as the previous models).
5.0 is the same as older models and catch cans are not any different for it. If the cans are modified it is to improve them for every application.

I had the throttle body off at 1000 miles and was surprised when I ran my hand and a rag into the intake, the whole inside of the intake had a coating of oil.
Oil separator ordered..

Thanks for all the info. I followed all of the links to different links and several tests. It appears from what I have found is that both Bob's and RX are the leaders and not much gets by them. However, it also appears that JLT may not have been tested fairly. It seems that the series tests used an old model of JLT and it appears that the JLT has been changed to work better. If I can get factory connectors so I dont have to cut my hose, I'll use a Bob's or RX. I want to be able to easily go back to stock for dealer service.

Oil catch cans will do nothing to warranty, its 100% safe to take to the dealer for service with a catch can on. Ford even sells oil catch cans now for our cars because they know that it is an issue.

After reading the posts here, has anyone sent a message to FordService advising that ALL of your coyote motors are leaking oil through the PCV system into your cylinders. I would think that this is a major engine issue that should be reported and fixed.

Would you please provide a link to the Ford Oil Catch Cans for the 2015 Mustangs. I'd also like to the see the CARB approval number. Thanks

They won't do anything about it. They can easily implement an air/oil separator in the design but those get cut by the penny pinchers. You car will last through warranty without it and that's all that matters.

It's amazing the tricks the engineers use to design something great and hide the reason and pass it off as something else and hope it isn't caught by the penny pinchers.

No cause for alarm, PCV blowby is normal and present in almost all engines. Fuel from your injectors will wash it off of the intake valves. It can become an issue if it gums up things in the intake tract (such as the idle air control valve) but it takes a long time for that to happen and it's a quick repair.

Just installed the JLT separator today. At 150 miles the old crossover hose/fitting already had a slight coating of oil and I could see a small amount of oil in one of the fittings. Glad I've got it on for peace of mind. Hopefully it will take most of that out of the system and a good fuel will keep the rest from gumming things up. I may want to supercharge someday so I'll try to keep oil out of that area until that time. :)

There's a picture of it and a part number in the SEMA pics that were released a few weeks ago. Go look through them, I dont know off the top of my head.
