My main question is do they function the same, same performance?

I believe the SR version requires you to cut up your existing tubes while the JLT has new tubes ready to go already on there.

I'd advise to take a look at Bobs Oil Separators too.

I don't know about other states, but in California, the JLT oil separators are not smog legal. It is considered a modification to the PVC system. (I bet a Ford Warranty would be voided if they found these installed) I would think the engineers at Ford would not make a PVC system that allowed oil droplets to be deposited on the cylinder heads or inside the cylinders. I cant remember seeing a Mustang with the Coyote motor having oil smoke out the tail pipes.

Perhaps these would be useful on Supercharged or raced version, but normal use... I just don't see it.

Why do you like Bob's?

Do you have a link? I've had a hard time finding comparisons.

I would much prefer to have the best performing one I can find and that kit happens to look really good as well so that would be a bonus.

You might want to look at what RX and UPR are doing with their models. RX has a very good design. UPR has modified theirs over the last few months to try to match the performance of RX.

These two seem to be better designs than the others that I have seen. Worth looking into a bit more IMO.

Budwise, can you point us to any data to support that Bob's is better. I want the best one. The JLT is nice since it has factory connections. You would have to cut up the factory hose to use the Bob's, but if it's better, that's how I'll go.

Go to the link i posted above. Someone did a test by putting them in a series, JLT first and then Bobs. JLT caught some but also let a ton by that Bobs caught. They then reversed them and Bobs caught double the amount in the same miles and JLT only had a few drops in it because Bobs caught it all before it reached the JLT in the series. The conclusion they reached was JLT caught about 50% of the blowby and Bobs caught around 95-99%.

Another point that no one has taken into consideration is these comparisons were not done on the 2015 and they were done with different catch cans (unless these new catch cans are exactly the same as the previous models).
