I've had my car 2 days (2018 GT Premium) and I noticed the oil pressure gage is reading 30 psi when cruising at say 45 mph. Is this a normal reading? I ask because my previous car (not Mustang) always read about 50 psi.

I think it was in 9 or 10th gear. I was just cruising at a constant speed but I also noticed later when I mashed on the gas it was still about 30 psi. It just seems to drop off when I take my foot off the gas which I think is normal.

Yea not on the gas it will drop. Pressure should go up when on the gas though. Honestly i have a 16 though so it could be different.

Oil pressure is a function of engine RPM and oil viscosity due to temperature. More RPM = more oil pressure. Colder oil = more oil pressure. More RPM + colder oil = even more oil pressure. If the oil is pretty cold, you can have higher oil pressure at X RPM than when the oil is fully hot at the same X RPM.
