Make sure you follow the installation and torque procedures very carefully. If it says go in an order, go in that order, if it says go to a certain inch lb, do that, if it says go an extra x degrees, do that. It's one of those assemblies where you wanna follow the prescription very closely

Appreciate that. I'm not the type to just throw/tighten parts willy-nilly, especially something as vital as an oil pump. This isn't my first time either but is my first bad experience.

Did boundary not give you a piece of paper? They gave me a piece of paper outlining all the measurements they made and assurances on what they checked and did.

Sorry didn't mean to preach. I know some very experienced mechanics that live by the "send it" method of torquing and while it's fine for most things, I've seen posts/stories of guys who end up having to tear off the front cover again to redo. Just giving word to the already wise.

It's all good. You're being helpful regardless. Thanks!

The paper should have a date if I recall. If the date is recent I wouldn’t worry about the number.
Maybe a newer revision... 2/21/2022

I did buy it February 18th...

So fairly new, looks like they gave you a different version than mine.

Mine states:
Oil Pump Built: CM MUSTANG OPG
Product Type: OPG 017335

Maybe email boundary and explain the issue. Maybe they had a bad batch since the product is so new. Also there is a way to check the gap between the gears to see if it’s “good”.

30psi hot idle is to much. Is it stable at 20psi? I'll take a pic of mine tomorrow. Its usually right in between the 20/30 Mark's and maybe bit more towards 20psi

What is with their labeling? Mine say opg 015971 and 5/27/21. Serial 19363

Your gears speced tighter than mine.
IW 0.0026
OW 0.0029
Tip clearance 0.004
Body clearance 0.004

I measured myself too.

"Hello Kenneth,

No, the gears were recently changed to a gen 2 design. There was a recall on them on the first release because of a cnc programming error, but 99.9% of those were recalled before they ever reached a customer vehicle, and if your unit were affected, it would be a non-fit. So it just wouldn't work.

Did you do anything else with the car? It could be the pump but even pumps that we receive that have debris damage and are beaten up pump ok. I wonder if it could be a leak somewhere in the system?

Could you send what you have? I'll take a look?"

Well this is what I received from Travis over there just today. I sent him photos. But its a NEW design. Oh god...

Is 30psi too much? I know my factory was like 25psi. The 2nd set was 30-32psi for about 20 minutes, took it out for a spin, added some load, come to a stop sign and it reduced 10psi. Just hope nothing happened machinally :/

Both photos were based on warm oil and 725rpm's
