I have stock wheels on my car now that are +42.5 offset. I am looking at new wheels and the closest I can get is +35 offset. I don't want to change anything else to make it work. My question is will this difference of 7.5 affect the brakes, steering, handling, etc. Thanks

What are the widths of your stock wheels and the new wheels?

The tire size and wheel size will stay the same. 19 X 8.5. Thanks for any info you have

I would think that the 7.5mm difference would be negligible, both visually and mechanically, but who am I to say?

I would ask the wheel manufacturer what they believe fits your particular car. If you are buying from one of the reputable vendors, they should know also.

Wheel will be pushed outward by 7.5 mm, beside that you will not really notice any difference.

I would put money that your stock wheels are sunken deep into the wheel wells. You should have 0 issues with that small of an increase in offset.
