It is plug and play. The install is pretty straight forward, you get harness adaptors that will only fit the stock cables one way, and will only plug into the brain one way. The mode toggle switch will work on your base model if you use Forscan and change ICD/ABS hex values. Before you buy one off eBay, consider buying mine shown in the marketplace. It has almost stock looking backlit buttons and not the terrible green, as well as the WiFi extender cable.

Anybody figure out how to make this work with Premium cars yet??? Only had this since The end of February, ready to smash it with a fuckin hammer.
The car has been out for 3 years, why still no option for Premium cars. I guess most are satisfied with the junk Sync 2 so they are not making much noise
I had a unit and have the GT Power Performance Premium car. the unit did not work in the car. I had no radio. I installed it nearly 10 tens working with the seller's engineer. never got the radio working. they sent me different harnesses. I tired everything they threw at me. I finally gave up and sent it back.

I wish I could send mine back! I waited for the extra harnesses and all that, payed for support to the guys working on this etc.. covered the extra shipping so they don't get screwed...you name it! Here I am almost 6 months later with a unit that is worthless to me!I'm extremely frustrated with this, had such high hopes about this too...Anybody want this thing, make me a reasonable offer.

I purchased mine in the group buy, I feel like I got screwed on this whole deal and it pisses me off. Nobody seems to want to do anything about it either.

He refuses to respond to my emails or texts, so shy of flying to Shenzhen, there's not much we CAN do about it. Have you personally contacted him to swap your unit out with this "new" one that is alleged to work with a Premium radio?

Morning Patrick, I am pissed about this whole deal because I feel like I just got abandoned. I kept waiting and waiting for a fix for this issue, and it has never come to fruition. I was one of the guys who sent $$$ to you guys for support AND cover extra for shipping to make sure you didn't get screwed and I just sat by patiently waiting for a fix for this thing, and it never came! nobody ever said anything about trying to send it back, because it sounded like it was going to be resolved. Sorry it came off as I was pissed off at you, that wasn't my intention at all.
You have to see my side of it though, I have all this money in buying this thing, sent money to you guys for support for when i would eventually have the thing in my hands and able to play with it. Then make sure I took care of the shipping end of things when we got this harnesses that were supposedly needed for premium cars(You shouldn't have to pay for it). I made sure that everyone was taken care of on my end and thanked everyone for their efforts, and in the end, I've had this fuckin thing for coming up on 5 months now and still have nothing to show for the $$$ I invested in it.

Your best route is to contact him directly, or via StangATX if possible. Here's how my timeline went: (I don't want you to think I intentionally tried to aggravate anyone.)

Setup group buy - Seller tells me it will work on ANY Mustang. We get them, and find this to be untrue. I end up over a grand in the hole from the fiasco, due to my own lack of foresight. Seller agrees to make it right, but then blows me off once he finds out I'm in touch with a different company. My INBOX here at 6G gets FILLED (and I mean, to capacity) within a few days of random people asking questions that were already covered in the thread. I had hundreds of people constantly bombarding me- I'd answer 1 PM, and by the time I hit SEND, there were 2 more from other people, that's why I had turned it off temporarily.
Then on the personal end, I'm in a state of slow degradation of motor function in my fingers and hands, due to ulnar neuropathy that occurred while I was enlisted. The VA sat on my claim for almost 2 years while it has constantly gotten worse. They finally decide to deny my claim, and I have to pay for my own corrective surgeries, just to maintain my current limited movement- it won't improve it, only stops it from getting worse. It's over $15,000... I depleted my savings account in the middle of the first group buy between my miscalculations on shipping, and my home HVAC failing, and having to replace $8k worth of equipment. I'm working 2 jobs in an attempt to get enough money to get my damn hands fixed, but life is throwing curveballs faster than I can swing. My wife's Mother was then diagnosed with uterine, ovarian, and breast cancer- with a 6 month estimate on "time left," and my wife and I have been spending every waking moment working, taking care of our 3 kids, and her mother. Between her job, and my 2 jobs- we're still going deeper in debt trying to keep everything together.

Now, I totally understand you've got over $700 tied up into something that is nothing more than a glorified paperweight at this point, but unfortunately the ONLY thing that will resolve that is making contact with the guy it came from. If you email him, and he ignores you, or gives you an excuse, keep emailing him. Don't just accept a single response, harass the shit out of him until he sends you what you need.

Yeah...I know you were going through a bunch of shit with the VA and knew surgery was on the horizon for you(we talked about it, sorry they turned you down btw:(). I hope you can get the care you need soon, before it gets any worse.
I just wanted you to know I was really pissed off at you, I knew all the efforts you put in(and the losses), which is why I made sure to take care of you with anything that would come up with us as a group tinkering with this thing. Is anybody trying to figure out why this won't work with a premium? I know I wasn't the only one that bought one for their car. I even posted in here a few times checking in about it and got no response. I reached out to StangATX a while ago, but I think he has been busy as well, and I've been tied up getting all the bugs worked out of the car with the new mods before I wreck it! lol

Can you pm me his email, I will try that route again. looking through my email and I am not seeing it. Nevermind...FOUND IT!
