The back up camera plugs into the yellow RCA labeled camera. Not sure about the other questions
Does your backup camera have a standard RCA connector coming from the car? I suspect mine is the other yellow antenna like cable that went into the factory CD player box.

I'm starting to think I need a different set of cables with my Premium model. I connected everything as I could decipher from the very crappy installation PDF, but I have no sound, HVAC isn't working and I can't connect the backup cam with the cables provided.
PatrickHenninger, could you ask your contact if the Premium model needs a different set of cables and if he has connection instructions?

Looks like I'm going back to Sync 2 for now :(

I assume this is normal during the kingroot process? I hope... Lol. It's been like that moving for about 8 min now.
If it sits like that longer than 5 mins, just reboot, and restart the app, it resumes where it left off.

I like it! Could you do a yellow version please?

On a side note, on Patrick's launcher that's like the Autohaus one, is is possible to change it so the big mph shifts and displays under the radio app when it's open on half the screen?

And a third question while I'm at it, the big play/pause button on the main launcher screen, I'm pretty sure it used to actually play or stop the radio or BT music that was playing, no? Since I rooted, pressing it with the radio playing just changes FM to AM...
To display the speed lower, I think you can... Settings, system set, display down.

Also, when you're in the radio app, click the Home button, and the radio minimizes, but stays running. Hitting play changes mode FM/AM since you can't pause radio. On BT Audio, it should pause it.

The 2nd connector is possibly Sat radio. The backup can attaches with the small swing-hook connector that latches when you plug it in.

If you have no sound or HVAC click Settings, System Set, andd change it to Mustang Hi, then reboot.

I changed it to Mustang Hi and rebooted, didn't work. HVAC just doesn't respond at all (tapping the power button doesn't turn it on and none of the other buttons respond). The physical buttons on the unit do not turn on the A/C either.

What do you mean with "the small swing-hook connector"?

Here's some pictures of the connections (two into the CD player and USB connector) that makes me think I need a different set of cables:

Two connectors that go into the factory CD player:

Single USB connector in the car (none of the plugs on the brown-connector cable fit, as it has the triangle cut off on the top-left in the photo AND it has the portrusion on the top):

The metal piece in the middle of the picture prevents me from pushing the Tesla "brain" all the way back to mount it, as it bumps against the cables that are connected on the back:

Some other questions:

The two black connectors on this cable (with the green/white) cables, do they go anywhere?

Is this thing used at all, and if so where does it connect?

Have we got a solid list of what all the cables, RCAs and random wires are?

You should have a cable with a standard antenna connection on it, that plugs into one of these

There is a 2 to 1 USB Y adapter, these take the 2 USB plugs from your factor sync

This is a PITA, you have to move as many cables out of the way as possible, it barely fits in there but it does (it will probably press on the bar a bit)

Some other questions:

No these go nowhere, they are for performance pack cars to tap into the can bus, you have modified it so that it doesn't need to be used.
This part plugs into one of the connectors off your sync box and then the RCA goes to the yellow RCA on the harness by itself.

Yellow one you don't need it. It's probably Sirius XM.

Single USB connector Maybe premium model just have one? I just have a base I can't tell.

You might need to bend that metal piece.

Green and White will plug no where unless you have the gauge I believe...

This thing is what will give you the backup camera and the board inside replaces that little OEM screen/big screen. It makes the transition from OEM to aftermarket.

Of the Two connectors, the yellow is Satellite radio I think.

That USB cable should fit, looks just like mine if I recall correctly. There should be a 2nd one somewhere.

We al have the same tab, you just have to manipulate everything into place.

The 2nd to last pic is covered in the first post.

The last pic is backup camera, which connects to the swimg hook connector, and the yelow RCA connects to.the female one labeled "INPUT." I don't know how to describe it, other than when you plug it in, theres a latch that swings over and locks in place. The black box gets plugged in to the white connector, and integrates the parking sensors, and possibly the camera.

I thought StangATX made an install video?

Forgot to put it on the website. I also made another one when I changed my host but I didn't uploaded it yet. I've been a little busy this week.

Sweet! If anyone has a volt meter and takes our their head unit I would LOVE to know if the 3 white and 1 green wires would work as a remote. They are power to cameras but I don't know if they are momentary or on as long as the HU is on.

I can change colors yes. I was waiting on someone to post what the difference was and screenshot for everybody lol. Anyways... I'm planning on create one with different colors. You'll just have to download the one you want. (red already done). I did green first to make it look like the LEDs lol. I'll let you know whenever Yellow is up! To get the MPH shift on the bottom you'll have to go to your settings and I forgot where it asked where you want the screen to show up. UP or DOWN. Just select DOWN. I never used the Play button... I can't tell lol.
I wasn't able to get around to rooting today, got my dads Mustang on the road though. I don't think I need to see this launcher to know I'd like one with the stock Cyan color

Did you ever get to try that AC option in the secret menu?
