Any sound clips? I am guessing you created two straight pipes? Seen many cars here that have a muffler shop replace the resonators with strait pipes. Curious is there is much sound difference in that vs an x pipe?

Awesome! No worries I'm not in a huge rush for it, I wouldn't be able to put in on til that weekend anyway.

I found a thread from an exhaust company some time back on another forum after a lot of searching.

Basically, the H pipe didn't go well. He said it was louder but it didn't sound very good.
Thank you! gonna go with the x pipe.... just ordered the shiftech

Shifteck has not produced the H pipe yet except for one person. The customer paid for the R&D on it and I’m not 100% positive he still has it installed. They may be using it as a template. He said it has a deeper sound and he likes it very much. The ETA for their H pipes is later this year. Their website states it is on preorder and 12-16 weeks out depending upon production schedule and they have a very brief sound clip of it reving.

I don't remember who made it, but it wasn't shifteck, I'm fairly sure.

I bought my car with the resonators already deleted so I don't have a real life (not youtube) point of reference, but I love the way it sounds without them. I wouldn't change a thing.

Also if anyone else thinks ~$300 for an X pipe is kinda, eh, not cost effective... Any muffler shop can cut out those resonator and weld in straight pipes for about a third of the price and sounds same.

I am not going to say it sounds better or worse (since that is a personal thing) but definitely not the same (x-pipe vs cutting resonators out). I listened and drove cars in both configurations and the sound profile is quite different.

Had the resonator delete done.. bought an aftermarket xpipe.. this aftermarket piece would replace the factory xpipe and the resonators..

The xpipe did not fit.. the pipes were to small and had tons of play when matting to the receiving pipe.. plus the weld on the pipe seam split..

Decided to keep the factory xpipe and just weld in resonators delete pipes..

Confused on how this would sound different from the aftermarket pipe? still have an xpipe and now have a straight pipe where the resonator use to be.. same as the aftermarket pipe..

Different material metals, maybe slightly different diameters, slightly different bend angles through the X section etc could yield a small difference in sound.
But the point I was making in my post above when I said they sound the same is.... think of it like this...

When your at Best Buy and your looking at all the new big screen TVs on the wall. Sure, side by side, they all look a little different. Some a little more bright, some a little more contrast in colors etc.
But no matter which one you pick and you bring it home and stick it in your living room, it's gonna look good as hell and your gonna be happy and a day later you won't even remember what the other TVs looked like. Without those side by side reference points you'll never notice a difference.

With the resonator deletes, whether you buy an X pipe or you have pipes welded in, the same end goal is going to be achieved, it will sound like a GT350R, and you'll be happy.
