    I didn't do it.

I'm thinking of doing it.... but,

I'm not doing it yet because even the stock non-R exhaust sounds good!

Plus I don't want to cut up my original exhaust.

    I will be doing it.

This sealed the deal for me and I did it on my 2012 GT with no issues. Already have the shop lined up

Heck what's the cost of the R's catback exhaust as well as the non-R's?

I was even thinking of I'd either buy the R's, or buy the non-R's to cut up or as a spare.

The catback is one big welded piece from the x-pipe back, itll be a pita to install and ship!

Essentially yes, any decent muffler shop should be able to do it, as long as they have the proper diameter pipe on hand

I wish it didn't involve cutting the factory equipment up.

You could have them cut out and add flanges to the resonators, straight through pipes, and mating ends on the x-pipe and cat-back. But will add weight and more cost.

Not sure why ford made the resonator/x-pipe/cat back all one huge piece

Just cut them out and have a shop fab SS replacement pipes weld them in and done. Cost me 88 Bucks and 30 minutes......Steve IMG_0905.JPG IMG_0895.JPG IMG_0900.JPG

    ^^This.

Curious, how much do you think they weigh?

I don't think there will be a big weight savings since they get replaced with another set of steel piping.

I whole heartedly agree there. But just curious still. I would guess each resonator would weigh maybe 6lbs and pipe would be 2.
