The second day is in race prepared GT's, not a GT350. The second day has 5 track sessions vs. 3 for the GT350 day 1. You will do 2 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon. Two of these are by yourself on the course with your group of drivers. The instructors are driving a car as well, but no lead follow. Gives you a chance to remember the corners and apex points by yourself. I was brand new to road racing, so a second day was very helpful for me as I will taking my GT350 to the track as soon as they open back up.Silly question, I will be taking delivery of my HEP R in August and thinking about signing up for the track attack at some point.
What is the benefit of buying the second day? More instructions? More track time? More exercises?
Just wondering if it is worth it.
Thanks for any advice.
Day 2 is great, buy the tire upgrade. Open track sessions are great because you get to set your line and speeds without an instructor to chase, this helps you get your own rhythm down for braking, turning and you get to work on creating a decent lap all by yourself. It was easy to fly around the course chasing an instructor who knew the lines and was fast, doing it alone is a bit tougher. Day two you run a different road course in the morning and afternoon, lots more fun.Silly question, I will be taking delivery of my HEP R in August and thinking about signing up for the track attack at some point.

If you are not planning on tracking your car, I would not waste the money on the second day.

Day 2 is a mostly race prepped GT, compared to the GT350, so you get to see both cars in the same setting. Lots more track time, lots more track oriented discussion with the instructors. If you are pondering track day events with your car, the two day course gets you closer to where you need to be.
I vote yes for at least doing the single day if you have the time and money to take off and do it. You get to enjoy driving a GT350 in its natural element. Two days might not be the ticket for people who never make it past 4k rpm except on the on ramp, in the heat it is pretty taxing. Every track session in 90 degree plus weather was like taking sweat bath.
I think ill stop in new mexico and buy some celebratory fire works
No gloves. Race suit, helmet & hans device. Sessions only last about 15-20 minutes. I did not feel like gloves were necessary.Do they provide gloves, and if so, what brand?
There will be some openings. It is doubtful that I will be keeping my spot as I don't see how I will feel comfortable getting on an airplane in 2020.Agh, I should've booked this two weeks ago when I called. Called today and all 2020 sessions are booked up, with at least 3 people waitlisted. No 2021 dates scheduled as of now :(.

Thanks Dr. Lonegunman. You do what you feel is best for you and your family. I worked for a major airline for 37 years and there is no way I am getting in a cagar tube full of germs for 4 1/2 hours before I am vaccinated.I would not sweat it.

I will not go. I bought a Winston Cup car from Bud Moore in 1992 and have hours of track time. So no I will not call my friends and tell them I almost did something cool. I have already done something very cool. Then don't. No one said you had too. Stay home and tell your friends how you almost did something cool.
