Just bought a Boomba knob. Out of curiosity, has any ever sprayed their Boomba another color? I'm thinking about spraying it blue to match the DIB of my caer with some Rustoleum auto spray paint. Just curious if anyone knew how well the paint holds up being handled daily

Plasti-dip (the actual dip) should work for a nice thick wear resistant color change.

I considered that actually, but since I was going to leave the bottom "ring" untouched (the part that says "Boomba"), I was afraid of inadverdantly peeling it slowly with spirited shifts, lol. It is what it is; I'll probably just enjoy the new knob before I start experimenting with it.

Some different colored poly options would be a decent idea. Similar durability and heat resistance as delrin.

Does anyone know of a manufacturer that will do custom engraved shift knobs that have instead of R-1-2-3-4-5-6, they have (or something similar):

R: Back Up (or WHOA)
1: Floor It
2: Pull Away
3: Over 100
4: Flying
5: Over 150
6: Supersonic

How do you plan on fitting all that on an area as small as a shift knob where you could still read it?

Poly options? Please explain a bit more, I'm pretty new to this. I'm intrigued.
