Haha, yes. Worst case, someone will get a good deal on a boomba knob. Or, I'll have a jam nut machined to "blend" it into the boot.

There's a guy on here with exactly this setup. I'll message him for pics.

Here's the scoop. THE FOCUS ST KNOB DOES FIT THE 2015 MUSTANG AND REVERSE LOCKOUT WORKS PERFECTLY. This is also confirmed by boosted4life (he's in this thread) who traded in his ST, and took the knob and put it on his Mustang. I have been back and forth with Lathewerks all day and they sent me this:

"Hey,

I just finished some extra research. It seems like the 2015 Mustang and the Focus ST do actually use the same shifter and same knob. I'm going to be adding Mustang knobs to my site but until then you could order one of the Focus ST knobs for your car since they would be the same design.

http://lathewerks.com/shop/index.php?cPath=41_67"

I will be sending in my custom order soon. I'm wanting the Focus ST Copolymer Sphere coated in blue with the gear pattern on top, and large grooves around the entire knob.

Which knob? They have two different weights. http://www.boombaracing.com/accessories-3/
people wouldnt want to assume because one style works the other will clear the lock out
Well we know the Focus ST Titanium Sphere fits, and I know the Focus ST Copolymer Sphere does too (from what lathewerks says) so I'm assuming all of the ones that shape will fit. The sphere's I guess.

You can always ask. They respond really well to emails. Now that they know the Focus ST ones fit, they are probably going to start checking to see how many will for sure fit the 2015. Them alone checking and responding to me so much was enough for me to wanna buy from them. I'm very prone to buy from awesome customer service.

I'm sure they're very happy to be able to sell all of these to the Mustang!

+1000 on customer service

I'm going with Latherwerks as well. Customer service is often overlooked in the overall picture. On the expensive side...but after considering the workmanship of the knobs and the customer service / presence on the forum, its well worth the price.

I like the Focus ST Elite VP Sphere as its pictured on the Focus page - with the 5 grooves in it.

In our experience the Focus/Fiesta knobs will thread onto the Mustang, but it doesn't fit right. We have had people run our Focus knobs on their Mustang, but they sit higher. However putting the Mustang knob on a Fiesta or Focus works with no issue.

Breedt Product Design Shift Knobs come in red, blue, black, or clear as pictured. They are made from 7075 aluminum and can be ordered either bare or with shift pattern.

Price is $65 or they can do any custom engraving for $120.

Email Craig (Zakspeed) at [email protected] to order.

After speaking with Craig about what I wanted, I chose their round clear knob:

I love overall size of their cleared and engraved knob compared to the stock knob:

The added height feels more "ergonomically" correct when shifting:

Not to mention it gives you "something to hold on to" during spirited driving!

As everyone pretty well knows, the stock knob weighs roughly 140g:

I knew from past experience and from reading on here that I wanted something heavier and the Breedt Product Design Shift Knob delivers at 190g:

It not only looks great but fits the palm of your hand perfectly!

It just has a MUCH better feel than the small stock knob when rowing through the gears!

After showing it off on my desk, I've been driving with it for a few days and I can't believe how much smoother the shifts are now!

SO much better than stock!! I was skeptical, but this easy mod made a HUGE difference!

I think their cleared knob matches the interior and dash of the S550 perfectly!

The brushed/cleared aluminum adds a very classy/upscale feel and you never have to worry about it cracking or breaking like some of the plastic knobs...

Price is $65 or they can do any custom engraving for $120.

Email Craig (Zakspeed) at [email protected] to order.

Those do look REALLY good. My car sits in the sun quite a bit at work though... How blazing hot is the knob going to get? And how cold will it get in the winter?

I live in Orlando, FL... with 20% tint on the windows and a windshield shade it hasn't been a problem at all!

Winter? What's that? LOL

That may be problematic. Guess you'll find out soon enough.

Here's the Boomba knob on the MGW short throw. I think it looks pretty damn good.
