Correct, but it's 433-435 hp/400 tq on 93-94 fuel. At 91 fuel it's only 422-425 hp/390 tq. And it's important because many states are doing away with 92-94 octane fuel.
I have worked in the petroleum industry for years. This is simply not true.

Great numbers. I had 460 on the poll. This revised Mustang is shaping up to be a real winner. On a side note. I read C&D long term review of the Camaro SS. They finally admit that no normal human can overlook the Camaros interior flaws. Now that Ford has matched the Camaros performance. There will be no need to live with that horrible interior. It's going to be hard for the magazines to fawn over the Chevy now.
One magazine wont have a problem general motor trend will always pick a gm product of a Ford

Camaro guys. And Ace. Apparently like to over think things. Under 4 seconds is exactly that. Less than four. Unless Motor Trend is driving. Then they'll change out the tires and some how run in the fives.
Plus run the Mustang on 87 octane fuel

My advice to future owners here. If you want performance from this car please don't cheap out and buy 87 octane. It will say 87 octane recommended in the manual but don't go anything under 91 octane. I remember people asking for an 87 octane tune from Lund back in the day. Its a no no.

And, Ford is the ONLY manufacturer that rates their performance vehicles on 93 or higher fuel. So it's not a legit comparison to a Cam SS or Dodge, if one is to go based on power numbers. Just like a proper byno is done "hood closed"... And how tuning/speed shops refer to tq saying "ft-lbs", when in fact it's stated correctly by magazines and manufacturers as >>, "lb-ft"... And, there is a huge difference between the two.
From everything I've read, the ~10hp loss is only on 87 octane....and from my SOTP meter, it's unable to be felt.

If it says 87, you can use 87. You just have to be able to handle the loss in power. On the current GT, this power loss is imperceptible on the street. Hopefully the MY18 follows a similar line.

And that's why they picked the GT350 over the ZL1? :D

this is indeed a very exciting time for most of us. I think the most exciting part is the 10 speed auto. Imagine that with a tvs kit and some sticky tires. A high 9 second street car could easily be in the mustangs future!

It would be a very boring, fast car.

Yes under 4 seconds is 3.9999999999999999999 seconds not a bit more!

Though the marketing is pretty lame, just say 3.9, 4.0, etc. Seems like all the stars have to be aligned as well

Will be interesting to see what kind of difference there will be between the transmissions. The auto cars are going to be fast3r in a straight line but by how much.

Cars will always be improved, and compared. Glad to see that Ford is still getting more out of this engine. Cant wait until the next generation.
