Not quite finished, but almost. I went with the $100 eBay 3M ControlTac vinyl do-it-yourself option, vs my original idea for custom paint stripes that would have cost thousands. Don't hate...to each his own.

Aaaaaalmost done Paint just looks textured in person, not streaky or like it's poorly done. I like it. Just a bit of touch up in a few days when it's not 94 degrees outside and I'm done. thanks for the compliments. ~Marco

After coat three. The photo is misleading. The top part that looks horrible is not visible when you look at it straight on. It is not bubbling at all. It is a play of light and reflection. It is just a bit uneven, but it looks smooth when you are looking at if from behind the car and not at...

After 1st coat, it looked pretty bad. After 2nd coat, is looking better...will probably take 4 full coats, and then some smoothing with thin, thin coats, then clean-up of the edges with a toothpick dipped in Testors thinner.

Back at home now...will do first coat on mine in a day or so...

Yep that’s how I was told to do it… A few light coats instead of one thick coat will prevent streaking. Hope to do mine in a couple days. Looks good so far!

Sorry...not being clear...yes, this Ecoboost rear decklid from Brian_S550's 2015 V6 Mustang is a perfect fit for the 2018 GT, except that I had to (easily) remove four small tabs from the 2015 decklid prior to installing it because the respective holes for them are not pre-drilled into the 2018...

Correct...no accent line. I had to break tabs off of this panel because the slots for them are no longer drilled into the trunk lid at the factory. There were two rectangular tabs and two more post-type tabs that had to be removed. There really was no other option...no way that I could have...

Well, huge thanks to Brian_S550: I installed a pony rear decklid today. To replace the 2018, I did have to break off four small tabs from the decklid. Other than that, it fits perfectly, and the camera connection is the same. The only quandary I have left is whether to paint it red/blue...

Yep… The grill one will not fit on the rear deck lid in place of the GT emblem...They are not interchangeable.

Hello all, I consider myself fairly resourceful, but I can't find the answer to this one: How and when will I be able to obtain a trip-bar pony rear deck emblem? I know it is part of the Pony package for the 2018 (ecoboost only?), and I imagine at some point, someone is going to need one...
