Damn those Ecoboost numbers look great, but looking at the peak power staying the same makes me wonder if they strengthened the block or internals at all ?

10 speed seems to allow for great pulls, but i wonder if its any good to drive in manual mode. I drove a Lexus IS a while back which had a 8 speed and i felt the gearing was just too short to enjoy driving it in manual mode.

The 6 speed on my Eco with the performance pack diff is already geared very short, so the ratios on the 10 speed might be infuriatingly short ?

Drag mode is probably specific to the package with PP Magride, A10 and gearing. Drag mod probably softens the rear up using the mag suspension allow better weight transfer for grip.

Something I've noticed in my wife's explorer with the 6 speed auto is, when going downhill while using cruise control it can't seem to decide on a gear to stay in while maintaining speed. It goes back and forth. Makes me wonder what a 10 speed auto would do in the same situation.

Mostly likely. With this 10-speed I'd probably just leave it in Auto mode.

With a 10 speed they have the room to turn it into a 6 speed, 8 speed or 10 speed depending on the situation. With 10 gears you have the luxury to skip a few without sacrificing anything, which you cannot really do with a 6 speed. So if the software is smart enough it should be very good in just auto.

Saw the new updated BMW 7 series does launch control from 2nd gear for instance.

Dang... those are some seriously bitter herbs growing over there.

What's hilarious is the sites own comments section is setting them straight.

Especially the last one about the article claiming the 2018 mustang can't handle as well... when they have t had a chance to drive one.
That was me....but still ;) :)

LOL We're only talking about one of the most iconic American cars in the world. Which if I'm not mistake. Outsold the 911. In Germany no less! Suck on that rennlist!
Mustang is doing really good in Germany, but it's nowhere near outselling the 911 or Audi TT. It was slightly ahead for a month two times, but overall it's in a safe 3rd place.

Here'a a chart of the german Mustang sales from April '17.

But remember that the mustang is one of the cheapest of the cars in the list. So if the Facelift will raise the Price by 3-4k€ like the US I can clearly see the sales going down.
