I was looking for that Unicorn, too. A PP Premium with Recaros in Deep Impact Blue. I found it at a local dealership and then sat it in for a while. On a Texas summer day I felt the lack of air circulation between me and the seat, realized I was paying more for a seat that was probably less comfortable for me, personally. As much as I loved the look and really the idea of the Recaros, I chose to find a car with vented and heated, full-power seats.Best unicorn for sure:cheers:
Higher % than I expected as well, and I thought my guess was a little on the high side. From a Ford engineer, the PP represents about 40% of GT sales, higher than they expected, actually.
Maybe thats why they raised the price of the PP for 17?From a Ford engineer, the PP represents about 40% of GT sales, higher than they expected, actually.
Well considering the GT's come standard with PP over there that would make sense.... lolFord salesman in Frankurt told me every car he's sold was PP and the ratio is 8/10 GT over ecoboost.
Oddly, for me the base GT was exactly what I was looking for. Only option I cared for was the PP. To me I was after the engine more so than bells & whistles to keep the price down, but I can see people wanting more as well. When I was searching for mine, the local dealerships all had base trim with PP pack. I mean base down to audio and interior. They were looking at it as being more like the old LX 5.0 mustangs, or the SN-95 GTS. The problem is, that was around June of last year, and they still have all of those sitting on their lots with buyers wanting all the bells a whistles. I told them that whomever was doing their ordering needed to step outside for a while and see what's what. I had them do a dealer trade and locate mine.
