From a Ford engineer, the PP represents about 40% of GT sales, higher than they expected, actually.

Wow thats a lot more than I thought :hail:

Wonder what the % for EB and V6 are

Best unicorn for sure:cheers:
I was looking for that Unicorn, too. A PP Premium with Recaros in Deep Impact Blue. I found it at a local dealership and then sat it in for a while. On a Texas summer day I felt the lack of air circulation between me and the seat, realized I was paying more for a seat that was probably less comfortable for me, personally. As much as I loved the look and really the idea of the Recaros, I chose to find a car with vented and heated, full-power seats.

dumb thing about premium + recaro is they take away heated, cooled, power seats and still have the nerve to charge you full price for the recaros.

Higher % than I expected as well, and I thought my guess was a little on the high side.

As the cornering & handling upgrade from base I've been guessing it to be a car targeted to include maybe 30% of buyers. My point of reference has been the 1LE Camaro, pitched as a car for only 2%.

The PP is such a good bang for your buck that it almost seems like it wouldn't make sense to not upgrade to it. Of course unless you want an auto or you plan on making it a drag car.

Ford salesman in Frankurt told me every car he's sold was PP and the ratio is 8/10 GT over ecoboost.

I barely see any PP's on the road. Some GTs but mainly Ecoboost around the Chicago West Burbs. It is winter though.

Dont forget that you can't get a premium pack with a v6 so a lot of people who 'just wanted a mustang' went with a premium EB to get leather etc... and did not want to spend the extras $$ on the PP. At least in my area a large majority of the EB's and GT's are non PP... for the offering the PP is a bargain and I am sure most M6G members have it

Maybe thats why they raised the price of the PP for 17?

Got the premium pp magnetic but no recaros... wanted the heated /cooled seats. It's a daily driver and it gets cold in this town!

Hopefully moving soon!

Well considering the GT's come standard with PP over there that would make sense.... lol

When I was searching for mine, the local dealerships all had base trim with PP pack. I mean base down to audio and interior. They were looking at it as being more like the old LX 5.0 mustangs, or the SN-95 GTS. The problem is, that was around June of last year, and they still have all of those sitting on their lots with buyers wanting all the bells a whistles. I told them that whomever was doing their ordering needed to step outside for a while and see what's what. I had them do a dealer trade and locate mine.
Oddly, for me the base GT was exactly what I was looking for. Only option I cared for was the PP. To me I was after the engine more so than bells & whistles to keep the price down, but I can see people wanting more as well.

Around here there are few GT's and even less with PP.

While everyone's situation is different, the GT Premium with PP is such a inexpensive car that I had to go for it. Decided against the Recaros after sitting in them and finding it not as comfortable as the Premium seats. My business use requires up to 6 hours at a stretch on the highway and I need heated/cooled/power seats.

3 of the 4 S550s here at work are GT PPs .

On the road the ratio is much less.
