If I was to have a body shop paint my AMR wheels in OEM Magnetic Metallic, would the paint last on the wheels just as good as black painted wheels? (OEM PP wheels, the black finish my AMR"s are currently, etc)

Prolly would depend on the quality of prep work they do, and a good layer of clear. I dont see why not.

I paint cars and painted my factory 20s about 5000 miles ago and they are holding up nicely. The key is all in the prep. If you are to worried you could always prep them your self, go to any auto parts store and pick up some scotch Brite pads and scuff the rims your self till there is nothing shiny on the rims. Take them to the body shop and ask them to make sure that they spray sealer on the rims (sealer promotes adhesion ) if they use good quality paint materials you should not have a problem

^^ Nice

Yea the body shop is my go to. They have done plenty of work for me and know what they are doing, so I know prep and everything would be executed precisely.

2stangs that's perfect man. That's the exact look I want, do you think its possible with plasti dip and glossifier? If not, how much should a body shop charge me for something like that?

You can Plastidip the wheels but make sure they are completely free of any dirt oil and chemicals before you spray. Also make sure to put on enough coats of Plastidip otherwise you'll hate life when it comes to pulling it off
Thanks for the suggestion, however, I hate plasti dip. My wheels are already gloss black, im thinking about getting them painted in OEM ford Magnetic Metallic and was wondering if Regular auto paint is the same paint used when manufactures sell painted wheels

I have to agree with you on the plastidip. Especially if your looking for a gloss finish.

As far as painting your wheels, yes, most shops use the same liquid paint as you would use on your car, so you should be able to get an exact oem match.
