Odometer Miles at Pickup

The first of new model cars like this often have to be "test driven" by the dealer employees.

yeah, line lock...and a few hot laps around the block. I'd be pissed if my new car was treated in such a fashion, I can understand a test at the factory but not a joyride by dealer employees.

It arrived on the lot 10/3, I bought it 10/9. A few drivers test drove it before I bought it. No biggie.

My '07 GT had 240 miles on it when I bought it. I was worried about that one, as it was the only model in Ohio that had the options/color that I wanted, and had to be driven from Cincinnati to Cleveland. I probably should've driven to Cinci myself and bought it there.

my audi had about 10 or so miles on it...every audi was taken around the test track at Ingolstadt. then a trip to ship then transport from Houston to Dallas. My truck had 8 miles and sat at the dealer for a couple months till I got back from deployment

Mine was delivered today. Don't know what happened if anything before I got there but it had 21.2 miles on it.

Not mine, but the V6 I test drove had 53.1 miles on it, and was delivered three days ago. I asked the sales guy if there was a lot of interest in the new mustangs, and he told me that I'm the 3rd person that day to drive it. It was only 11am. (test loop they send everyone on is about 5.3 miles)

Mine was in the showroom and had 7 miles on it.

The one I drove just before I did my paperwork came in the day was driven a few times, 30 miles on it when I got in and I put another 10 on it.

That car was sold about 45 minutes later and the guy was right behind me when I went in to do all the DMV paperwork.

The Ecoboost Premium we saw today, which came in today and was sold today had 131 miles on it, my wife asked the salesman why so many and he said everyone's been driving it. I don't think I be very happy if that was my car...

While I can appreciate wanting to be the only one to drive your car, it having a few hundred miles on the odometer at delivery isn't a big deal.

My 2014 had to be driven down to Windsor from Brampton so when I picked it up it had over 400 kilometres on it. Didn't think it was a big deal (especially when the alternative was paying to have it put on a truck).

Having to get your car to you/your dealer is one thing, but approx 10 different test drives by approx 10 different test drivers is 9 too many for me lol

In past years a car was either "new" or a "demo". Now it seems if a car has never been registered to an owner it is "new". So a car can be test driven for 3000 miles and it is still "new".

I had 50 miles on my first GT. 6 miles on the 15 ...only PDI miles

Mine had 7 when I test drove it...well 15 when I was done. The next day when I returned to purchase it, it had 23. It's still the only non-v6 car the dealer had, so it probably had one other drive. No biggie, it wasnt mine...

I went down over the weekend and signed all the paperwork for my mustang and on all the paperwork it says 6 miles on it... Will be interested to see what it will say when it actually comes in
