Mine has been slowly but steadily dropping down. But holy crap I haven't seen 11.5! What are you shifting at 1500rpm:eyebulge:

3rd tank in and I'm down into the 15's after sitting in the high teens for most of the week. Was giving it the berries today a bit though, almost clicked over 1000km's now.
Haha... Shifting at about 2K and a bit mostly. Trying to keep it as smooth as possible with this rubbish clutch spring.

Wow 1000km's already! I suppose you did have the unfair advantage of taking delivery 3 days earlier. I'm only on 2nd tank at 498km I think. About to refuel today.

Just gone over 1200km since picking it up, loving every second of it. I'm currently averaging 13.3. I haven't been going easy on it, the car has free'd up so much.

The best 0-100 time I've managed is 5.3 seconds.

I'm planning on going for a drive down to berry then through the national park, hopefully on Saturday.

Auto would be faster 0-100 maybe 4.9 or 5 seconds

Just clicked over the 1000km in mine tonight, fuel consumption is coming right down now too. Engine seems to be freeing up like others are saying.

After a week of high teens, tonight i was seeing in the 11.xL/100km range.

What's involved in installing it? I wouldn't mind one. But if it involves taking the bumper off just for that... Hmmm

Or might get it and do it all at one go when/if I do the DRL.
Any word on the DRL front? Last I have heard we are still waiting for DD to sort out the new led boards and from other threads it sounds like they are still having some issues with the old ones.

Hey Gnome. Not at the moment.

Dropped car off this morning for the paint chip repair. I was under the impression that both defects (including a small passenger door sil dent/chip) was being covered by them.

Got a phone call a few hours later saying the paint chip (fender) is being fixed. But the door sil is not, because it was caused by me. Not sure what to make of this thus far.

That's not actually the only issue. Here's the real problem. I'm being expected to fork out $500 for a dent repair. Something that I was told is going to be fixed by Ford. Best part if I wasn't even told/asked if I want to fix it and pay $500 out of pocket.

Repairs commenced without any authorization/permission. Waiting for a verdict now from the manager, because I think this is not right. So what happens if the damage is $20,000? Would I be charged this without any notification prior?

Don't pay the money. The dealer should of got your authorization regardless how small the damage. Just say you're only willing to pay $100 that's it.

Wait, you caused it by closing the door, right?
Give the car back and say its not fit for purpose if you can't close the door.
Full refund!

Mind blown.

But yup, unless you authorised it, you shouldn't have to cough it up.

Can you prove the factory door alignment that was incorrect btw? This is ridiculous for them to pin that on you.

Yeah, you caused it, when the incorrectly aligned door hit the sill. Shouldn't have been misaligned in the first place!

I don't claim to know the legalities of this, but surely they have to get authorisation first, I have always had a call before any work was done that was going to cost me. Not only from Ford but on all the cars I have had, sounds sus to me.

My excitement on the whole DRL thing is starting to waiver, I would love to have them, but the more I drive the car the less I think about them anymore. Once they are finally available maybe my interest will come back, but not going to get to wound up waiting for them.

What a crock of shit!

Damage to the door sill caused by a factory defect that was not picked up at QC or PDI?

Make some noise on Facebook. A lot of noise.

Swear on my life here (yes, going to that extreme)... We made no stops from the dealership to back home. The second the girlfriend opened the passenger door... she was like "wtf is this?" Then I come have a look and see this dent. Immediately texted my sales guy too.

If they do want to blame it on me, cool no worries. Don't fix it.

BUT... What I'm really pissed about is that they *may* want to charge me $500 for a repair that I was under the full impression was going to covered by them. (fender and door sil).

How can any smash repairer carry out work (that was supposed to be free), and then say "oh by the way, we're charging you $500" lol...

On top of this, I didn't sign anything plus there was no mention of any payment whatsoever. My point is, whether it's $10 or $10,000... Why is stuff (charged stuff) being done without asking me first?

Drewbo and Drew, they are saying apparently something was caught there and damaged the door sil... lol. Hence why my fault. But come on... it is literally at the very edge of the sil, how on earth if at all, could ANYTHING stick there long enough while the door was being closed.
